Can the MG headshot a Hulk?
MG = Medium Penetration Ammo
Hulk Head = Medium Armor
Is it possible?

I did test this myself, and my guess why the AMR works but the MG doesn't is because of how ballistics work with the two weapons. Seeing as the AMR, even though it shoots medium pen ammo, is a far "stronger" round compared to the MG ammo. Maybe because of how the head is shaped or something, idk.

Funny enough, the manually aimed turret emplacement can shoot through Hulk heads, its just very hard to
The reason the MG-43 can't pen hulk heads and the AMR can is that armor doesn't come in 4 flavors. (None/Light/Medium/Heavy) it actually is a 0-10 scale, and so is AP value. The MG-43, while it is 'medium' is near the bottom end of that scale. The AMR is near the top of that scale.

This is how you get 'oddities' like the Senator revolver being able to punch through some medium armor. I really wish the older prototype stat screen they showed had ended up getting picked. Being able to see exactly the AP value on a gun, among other things, would be nice. Also, where my stats for Support weapons at?:raven:

I thought it was a 5 point scale, with the Hulk face plate being 3 but the Charger leg armor being 4 and everything else on them being 5
The armor is 5 point scale, the armor piercing is a 10 point scale. being none, light-, light, light+, med-, med, med+, heavy, ignore, explosive (this is more of an extrapolation, I'm sure the devs call it something else) Armor is none, light, medium, heavy, impervious (that last one is buildings and the tank hull, basically it takes specific things that are outside the scale to take out impervious level armor). Light+ can partial pen medium (white hitmark), medium+ can partial pen heavy, the lesser light and medium pens are partial pens on the armor they are supposed to be effective on, heavy pens everything but impervious, ignore is stuff like arc weapons, explosions are obvious, as is none. Unfortunately all we see is light and medium pen because the devs refuse to give are real information that lets us make informed decisions.

As I said there is probably a more correct way to call them but we don't have access to that information.

According to devs light, medium and heavy armor are just suggestions.
The actual value is more like a 1 - 10. Something being able to penetrate medium doesn't mean it will be able to penetrate a Hulk head. At least I haven't been able to with any of the medium pen weapons that aren't the AMR.

See my response for why that is "medium" can just mean "it deals damage rather than ricochets on medium armor" same for "light." Hulk head is medium, yes, but MG is medium- so while it will damage the head it will not truly pen the head. Think like weapon test videos vs body armor where if you shoot an armor plate in the same place it will eventually give-way as long as you were at least denting it.
