Disappointed with the Sickle's sound design

I was excited to try out the new laser blaster, but... it makes bullet sounds? Combined with the color of the bullets it shoots out, it doesn't even feel like a laser rifle, which I find really disappointing.

To cut to the chase, I think the Sickle could be improved quite a bit if it made "pew pew pew" shooty noises instead of "tuktuktuktuktuk" shooty noises.

The lasers used by the bots I think could also use the same touch-up, since it feels really weird to use one of their blaster turrets only for it to sound like a machine gun.

It sounds fantastic in my opinion. That's what I like about this game is that it makes all the weapons sound like they have some punch. I'm so sick of video games having ♥♥♥♥♥♥ sound design and making the guns sound like pew pew pea shooters

I don't disagree with you that the sound design is great, but I also don't think the choice they made was a good one for the Sickle specifically.
It sounds identical to the machine guns, which doesn't make any sense since the Sickle isn't firing bullets.

I like the sound but it could certainly use a more sci fi laser rifle punch.

both laser and plasma themed guns are disappointing, expected Star-Wars like epic laser flashes and sounds. Scorcher sounds like a rifle, disappointing. Sickle sounds like lame assault rifle. BORING!

You know how car developers had to add speakers with motor sounds to electric cars because people didn't think they were working? It's the same thing here. They added speakers to play bullet sounds to let the fascists know the lasers were scary.

While the politics are silly, the gameplay and gun design is exceptionally grounded.

This is true Sci-Fi NOT the usual space Fantasy you are used to
