This disables my headphones which i use only for Audio. Which would solve, nothing.
Not mean to be rude, this just baffled me, just give in to the hype and everyone was telling me how amazing it is and common. This? Really?
And having ♥♥♥♥♥♥ quality in my headphones? You know how bad it sounds when bluetooth has to share bandwith? Just tried to disable mic as well, it automaticly TURNS IT ON! EVEN WHEN DISABLED IN WINDOWS SETTINGS.
I am getting mad.
Tried, did not worked for me, at least i do not have option for that.
Yeah but some people prefer more expensive headphones and separate mic over whole set. Like wtf?!
Tried that.

You'll have to disable the microphone on the bluetooth headset from Device Manager. That's the only way to be sure it's not on. If the game chooses it anyway(It shouldn't) it won't work. I'm guessing it's a bug with the game in that case and not many people have brought it up as most opt to use a headset microphone as opposed to splitting both.
FYI, Handsfree Telephoney re-enables after you restart your computer (at least it does for me, using a Sony WH-1000xm5). To get around this, you can instead disable the Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service.
In your search bar, type Services and open the Services app. Find Bluetooth Audio Gateway Service. Stop the service, then right click and go to properties, change the Startup type to Disabled. This way, the service will remain disabled when you restart your pc.
From what I've read disabling this service is effectively turning off all Handsfree Telephony on your pc. For me, the "Handsfree telephony" is still enabled on my headset if I go to the devices and printers setting page, but its still effectively disabled since you've turned off that service.
Got it.
"Needless to say; I hate to break it to you but it isn't just this game where this has had the potential to happen. There's probably dozens of games and apps you use or have used which have had free access to your microphone."
I hate to break it to you, but most apps do not access microphone WHICH IS DISABLED in windows. Most of games do not hijack something which is disabled by default and should not be accessed.
This is because of Kernel access.
It choosed the microphone anyway, even set a correct microphone in Steam settings. My mic is dissabled by default because when it does start, it decreased quality, it is something i needed to do in a very fist thing when buying Sony xm5 and table microphone. And it sucks that the game bypass windows settings and by me set up bounderies.
