I haven't paid a dime for the weapons. Weird!
as this person even says they really like the system and is not upset for no reason :)
Why you here then? You got 3000 games to play. Go play some Warframe. lol
My Profile is Public, you could have just looked up my Profile and would see that i own Helldivers 1.
I also own all the "DLC's"
I never said that if its a DLC, its good.
I said, a DLC isnt MTX.
How is anything you said related to anything i said?
I saw how we went from big, mostly good AddOns, to this MTX BS.
Its always the same, and its always the same People defending that BS.
DLCs in Helldivers 1 or other Games. Offering the least amount of effort from the Devs, but asking for high Prices is how MTX will end, then they will think about a new method of getting Money from the Players.
Look up Arrowheads other Games, like Magicka. Look at these DLCs, compare them to Helldivers 1.
Now look at Helldivers 2, and tell me you dont see a pattern there.
Thats why im against any further Monetization in Games.
They have no reason to be there other than to get more Money for whoever is greedy enough to collect it.
Over 200K players bought HD2 alone on Steam, plus PS with unknown amount of Numbers.
Look at the Price of the Game. Do the Math for yourself.
Less People bought No Mans Sky, and this Game gave People over Years, big Content Updates without asking for more Money.
Arrowhead Games doesnt need to implement MTX, DLCs, AddOns to comfortably Support this Game over Years with good Content.
They collected enough Money to start Development on their next Project, they already have enough Funds collected.
AND in addition to that, be able to Support HD2 with new good Content.
If anyone really thinks, that any income from that MTX Store will be redirected to the Game, as in, Servers or whatever else is lying to himself, knowingly or unknowingly.
This MTX Store will get way more agressive, just like the DLCs in HD1 and all their other Games got more Agressive and lazy.
Im baffled that you make that comparsion with HD1 even yourself and dont see what they did there and what they will do here. Its baffling to say the least.
Thats alot of Bla Bla for something you dont seem to understand, there is litterly ZERO need to buy any SC with real money, just play the game like you would anyways and in no time you have way over 1k sc to get the pass and even enough medal to get something out of it.
I hat like 32 hours or so and had over 1,5k SC without grinding for it, by just playing!
MTX Stores are intentionally Grindy to encourage buying ♥♥♥♥.
Look at Assassins Creed Odyssey and its MTX Store.
Well... you can earn stuff. it just takes Hundreds of Hours to maybe get 1 Full Set of Armor. OR. you spend 15€.. in an up to 110€ Game. .. a Singleplayer Game.
MTX is on the same level as FOMO.
Its only reason to exist is to brainwash People into accepting it and buying ♥♥♥♥.
And looking at this thread, it works. People accept it willingly and even encourage it.
This MTX Store is Successful. And it wont go away now. It will be just like the one in GTA:Online, it starts slow. but at some Point you reach the sunken cost fallacy, and People wont neither stop playing nor paying for ♥♥♥♥, even tho everything just got worse.
Thats how these ♥♥♥♥ Stores work. And it works every time. And People are always the same.
Go to other successful Games with MTX Stores. Look at the discussions about the MTX Store at the Start, and then look at much later Discussions of said Stores in these Games. The pattern is always the same.
Nobody, ever, did implement something or put Work into something without expecting it be working as intended. And a Store is there to sell stuff. And this one will get more Aggressive, just like every other Store will. Its their only Purpose. To make as much Money as possible.
Whats the difference?
I buy DLC for other games that do the same like here: New weapons, new armor, etc.
I dont see the difference other than the way you interprete and name it.
