why do the robots in this game sound French?

I was listening to this and the first thing that came to my mind was some evil French science-fiction robots from the future conquering Earth. I swear, the language they speak sound like just French. I can't unhear it. I know people say that like French is the language of love and German is the laguage of hate. But to me its reverse. Probably cause my French teacher in primary school was really evil and angry.
