About hidden bonuses on equipment

I found out that the SC-15 DRONE MASTER set gives a sound hint when you're near a rare+ sample...
What are your discoveries ?

How does it work?

When you're at something like 30-50m from a rare or super rare you can hear a localized crystal sound emited by the sample. Pretty useless :)

No matter what armor, rare samples will emit sound.

Yea I like the idea of hidden stuff, adds magic and mystery and opens for all superstition about your loved stuff :)
Also the description of the armor set tells something like: "people report about strange noise emited by alien artifacts when wearing this armor."

Rare samples always make noise when you get near them. Depending on other environments its easier to hear from further away.

Yeah it's twice useless.
If it's calm enough you can hear the sound then you don't need it.
If you need it, it means it's not calm enough for you to hear it.

yea it had been already stated so. To my disapointment and shame.
