95% resistance armor... really?
I'm sorry devs, but this bonus shows two things:
1. 100% unoriginal and thoughtless design from a game mechanics standpoint and more importantly;
2. You know arc weapons are extremely toxic to your own team, limiting build choice.

The greatest irony is that since this is pay-walled, the very people who would need to wear this are not you, the user but those around you... and so, what? People need to now pay so that they don't get trounced by their own team? What utter nonsense. Just you know... NOT LET ARC TEAMKILL. Then give a bonus that makes us change our playstyle some.

The saddest part will be is that as people use these guns in a group, it means you'll just be kicked for not having the armor on so the kicking problem will get even worse.

Bravo.

Acid proof, melee damage boost with built in wrist blades, fire proof, these are perks that would make a player excited to use them. the only good one they have made is 'increase throw range by 30%' which was nerfed from 50%. That one is exciting because its fun to use and makes us feel powerful.

95% resistance to friendly fire from one specific weapon is really boring for anyone who doesn't want to run an arc team. It's really effective to run an arc team with no friendly fire.

It's basically 'friendly fire proof' but only for arc weapons, which is a cool idea honestly, just not for everybody.

Friendly fire is actually way more common from other sources like mortars for instance, but if they put in an armour set with 95% resistance to friendly fire, everybody would be using it and not playing the game how they want.

It makes me think they'll have other suits with specific resistances later on. They can't just make one suit that's effective against ONE enemy and call it that overall.

Personally I'd like to see explosion resist armour get a buff next. It's still somewhat effective on hold and defend maps but that's it, really. Most of the time your allies do enough damage with just one explosive to kill you through 150 armour and 50% explosive resist.

The fact that the ingame defense against explosive friendly fire is not adequate to actually defend against it most of the time is very frustrating for me.

If they straight up just want us to die to explosions and go flying all over the place as a ragdoll then why even put in explosive resistance armour?
Your mistaking the aim of the armor. Arc damage is an instant death, the new enemy faction (returning if you played the first game) uses arc damage heavily... so get it while its hot.

Run level 3 difficulty missions. Do the long form missions w/40 minute completion timers. Select based upon this. Take a few people with you to open the 2 person vaults. Clear every POI. Farm SC on these and you'll usually get 30-50 SC per round on a decent run. Get average (not even good) at clearing and you can do one of these per 15 minutes. Keep your wallet closed and don't pay any real money to unlock the warbond.

And how long would it take to scrounge up 1000 SC?

fire resistance, stun resistance, and so on. the stat design of some things in this game don't make much sense. love the game but things like weapon and armor design(stats not looks) frustrates me sometimes.

Kept track of my last farm, got it done in 22 missions just short of 6 hours of game play.

How about you give them some thoughtful and original ideas and I'll shoot that full of holes.

Cus outside of 'hey lets blunder around all going full arc with that new suit in a full group of friends' I do not see that thing seeing much use.

If a new meta is unintentionally created similar to the last toxic meta then the devs can handle it ( again ). I am sure of it.
Serpent Mar 18, 2024 @ 6:29am
the first think you can do to not get arc by teammate that worth a dime is just not run in front of him.
arc mechanic is to chian after it hit first enemy so if he shoot enemy in front of you it will not arc to you . you can run a head of him but not in front of him.

also this armor imo is just a meme armor that let arc player stand in circle of tesla tower. that's all
95% reduction is more like a 5 shot kill so...it's not that great.

2. If you keep getting killed by Arc throwers, maybe you should stop running in front of people using them

Idk if you realize how stupid this is, i swear. I cannot permanently escape a trigger happy ape without ever engaging because that clown might see 2 bugs close to me and be like

"Hurrr i am shhhhhaving my teammate 🤪"
And proceed to chainlight me.

Every time there is a clown with arc thrower in a team the FF death triples, so either people become stupid all of a sudden and dont know how to play OR people have no clue how to use arc thrower and end up teamkilling way more than they should.
Interesting portrayal. So you are saying that the game in which friendly fire is always on, the most powerful weapons kill allies nearly instantly, and many of them have hard-to-predict AOEs, you think that part of the intended experience is: "if you aren't careful, you'll kill each other! and that's definitely part of the experience and vibe we are going for! because you're cloned replaceable expendable soldiers thrown into the meat grinder to achieve the goal, at any cost!"

And you are saying... the lightning gun being able to chain to allies and fry them is... out of character? not supposed to be part of the experience? That "oops I accidentally killed you for democracy" isn't overty part of this game?

Stopped reading OP as soon as I've seen "paywalled". Obviously this kind of opinion is not worth looking into.

At first I thought it would basically nullify arc throwers and tesla towers, but after watching a dude on youtube getting hit for about a third of his HP by his tesla I'm completely clueless as to what this armor is even designed for.

If it made the user immune to the damage I could see different options opening up, like using a tesla tower defensively or whatnot, but as it stand why would I take this instead of democracy protects that can save me from anything including arcs instead of that? Just so a dumbdiver has to shoot me thrice before killing me (unless I get 3 procs of DP then there's not even a difference)?

Without the armor a Tesla blast is insta kill , now it’s not.

Does this help?

Bravo.

At higher difficulty the arc throw is meta since the railgun nurf.

To most of us its pretty obvious they nerfed the railgun to make the arc thrower the new meta and that's because they knew people would be more likely to buy the cutting edge warbond for it's 95% team damage arc thrower resistance armour.

They also buffed spawn rates knowing the warbond had a booster to reduce it, but that's a different story.

It's all very sly and a very manipulative behaviour by them.

Most of the armor in this game is useless when compared to the ones that let you have 6 grenades. Why would you not want 6 grenades at all time? But yea new armor is useless. I like how there's a tip saying "Armor isn't just for looks." That's a load of poop lol
