Game Masters in WoW are not deciding how Faction Warfare should go.
There also isn't a hint in the game that players can "influence" the story or outcomes.
The experience is linear. Also, if something is adjusted, it's communicated in patch notes to high detail.
This is the first popular game where things like Ai behavior, damage, spawns are adjusted and not communicated in patch notes. It truly is a war experience where the enemy is doing things in secret to counter your progress.

Though if you think already its us vs them. This game might not work out for you. A gamemaster doesnt have as goal to beat the players.
