How to use the Commando launcher
asking for tips, this is the only weapon in the armory that I have not a clue how to use properly. I suppose having a all-in-one package EAT is nice, but the rockets are slow and tend to miss the weak zones that I aim for.
it 2 shots fabricators while all other AT 1 shot them, so either with a little bit of aim EAT does better, or you just take the quasar cannon for this job.

where does this weapon excel at? I really can't find a reason to bring it, and please don't tell me not to bring it, I just want to know the right applications.

It's advantage is its burst output, you can fire off 4 rockets in a second while the others have to either stop and reload, wait 15 seconds, or run and pick up the other tube. You can one shot hulk heads, tanks from the turret side or back, fabricators in the vent, kill a factory strider in one commando if aimed right, or even two if you really aim it well.

If you aren't hitting those spots well then it's gonna do worse than other options.
It's more of a versatile option with low cool down. But u can carry it with you when you don't need it immediately, all the while with it on cool down already. Meaning you can often have 8 shots when you DO need it. It can do pretty much the same thing as EAT, 2 commando missiles for 1 EAT's dmg, but u can carry all 4 (equivalent of 2 eats) on you when you can only carry 1 EAT. And you can shoot at smaller stuff too if you need to. as for aim, that just user issue, with practice and you can excel the aim.

nice, will definitely try this on bots. it just seems outclassed by all the other AT for bugs though.

I don't think it excels at anything. It's not a terrible launcher and you can make it work but EATs outclass it given the cooldown difference, particularly on defences/eradications. Having 4 shots in one package isn't that big a deal.

laser designator when aiming, you take that away you're "dumb" firing it as they say. it will not turn around if it flies past your mark.

unfortunately it does less dmg than that of a EAT to need one more shot to deck something the EAT does in one shot, i'd see it more useful on bugs over bots but, you do you chief.

It's really good on bots. One shots anything with a vent, including fabs if you get an angle making them more efficient than EAT-17s, no drop either so you can make cross map shots effortlessly. One shots gunships, so a full gunship patrol can be handled by a single commando pretty easily, one-shots small turrets and one-shot hulks to the eye which makes for efficient objective clearing

Commando is more like a weak point AT weapon.

Pros:
- no drop, so the shot will go where you aim with laser off
- laser guidance can help on moving targets
- can dump all 4 rockets in a very short time if needed
- can one shot small turrets, AA guns and mortars on the bot front

Cons:
- low damage per shot, needs to aim for weak points like charger butts, hulk face or heat sink and turret heat sink to kill them in one shot
- overall less damage than EAT when considering stratagem cooldown
