If you want to get completely silly with it:
- Torcher
- Crisper
- Incendiary/Incin Impact
- Jump Pack
- Flamethrower
- Napalm Strike
- Napalm Barrage.
Absolutely useless on bots but it's not all that terrible on bugs so long as one of your allies has something for chargers and titans. Bring flame resist armor because the bugs WILL spread your fire to you.
Of course, if you want a much more stable and less meme version, I've got two of them:
This one lets you use whatever armor you like tbh, but flame resist can still be nice for when hunters light you on fire.

I usually prefer extra grenades when I run this build since thermite is your *only* AT option.

It's nice to hop around bases and one shot sniping fabricators from any angle.
Similar to your laser build, i like bullet hell builds vs bugs.
Gun dog + stalwart/MG + gatling & MG sentry or eagle strafing run.
Some explosive primary for bug holes and a thermite nade for heavies just in case.
Obviously very weak vs heavies, but usually at least one teammate has AT.
It's so satisfying to tear down entire hordes and having the sound damn near bug out because of the crazy amount of bullets being fired.
Also heavy armor + crossbow + ballistic shield + static shield vs bots is nice.
The devastator armor looks REALLY good when holding a shield and it makes you feel like an actual juggernaut.

-Slugger+Support pack or pummeler SMG+Ballastic pack (latter only for bots)
-Fill out other slots with things to feel niches unfilled by the squad.
-entering random games with "Field Medic reporting." Optional.
I run hard support. I don't get a lot of kills, and my 3 stats at the end of a mission typically are 0-1 deaths, 30-150 stims used, and 0 accidentals. Missions also typically end with lower than average casualty rate.

Fire does fire things while gas dog blinds and disorients. Highly effective, terrible against alpha warriors which is why D7 or lower.

Lightning (bots, close range biomes)
Step 1: arc thrower
Step 2: bullet guard dog
Arc thrower stuns while guard dog shoots. Hard counters heavy devastators. Never have I had so much fun slowly walking into a mortar position to cook it with lightning while guard dog just unloads on everything and anything. Round out with Senator and/or sentry to help cover factory striders or gunships.
