Sometimes I feel like people don't actually read. So, let me break it down for you (Mark). They have the base code to designate specific NPCs to go hunt down and kill. We've seen they can also use it for new NPCs, such as the Factory Strider.
Using this, they could then use that to go hunt down a special elite unit that was formerly a boss in Helldivers. Such as the Hive Lord or a variant of the Siege Mech.
Due to their increased sizes, I then suggested that maps that would have them, would then have specialized zones allowing for easier pathfinding for them.
It's something they can work in the background but the game right now needs content that's somewhat easy to make and longer lasting than 5 minutes. Just listen to the POE devs that in a recent interview said something akin to: "We got a few story chapters now, would it really be a good use of our development time to keep making content that is hard and takes long to make?". So they started to work on the endgame and now they have like 50 unique bosses. I'm not sure if Arrowhead started work on boss enemies yet but what they should really focus on now is use what they have and expand on it while working on the hard parts on the side.
We already know they can do unique missions like the TCS and black fluid injection. For now they should focus on that, maybe some horde mode where your only objective is to survive until you get extracted and get as many kills as possible and working on making the overall game loop more interesting.
They have the basis of designating an enemy as an objective, and killing it to complete it. I then stated that they should have specialized map locations to, as you say . Due to the need for a wider area, there is a crapload to be done with it for variety and to go above and beyond.
Though I do apologize as I did focus a bit much on the sole objective. Here's a mission example for an idea, following along the format with an ICBM launch deal as based upon your specialized mission suggestion
Eliminate sector commander
Mission status effects: A field of some sort prevents from dropping directly onto the boss themed enemy. Increased secondary objective spawns (specifically hostile ones. Mortars, AA guns, stalker nest, yadda yadda)
Primary objectives: Disable the thing/take out several things. They can make up whatever does that. Take out defense batteries, spore towers, nests, yadda yadda. Or deploy something to bring the commander out of hiding/to your area
Once that is complete, you have to move to the location where the boss would be, going through secondary objectives most likely. Then start working on taking out the bastard.
You couldn't make it more obvious how miserable you are and how jealous you are that people other then yourselves have figured out how to play with toys and have fun.
To be fair, it is reasonable to have critiques and voice being displeased. Though I do agree that there's some people who 100% fit that bill.
Calling people who have basic demands/expectations and critique the game when the devs make a poor decision a hate cult to defend the said devs/poor decisions and trying to silence critique in this manner is what got us the DSS.
Expect less, get less, it got us to the DSS.
What do you mean, you do not want another Liberator?
Free does not have to equal bad, but in case of Arrowhead I gues it does.
Then the people who ♥♥♥♥ on respectful critique suck ass too. Multiple parties can suck at once
The thing is that when you release a full game, you then have plenty of time to make and release DLCs.
If it is a Live Service Game and it has barely any Live Service in it, then you have to try and pump out content at much faster pace lest everyone gets tired/bored and leaves.
So you are the guy who defended the nerfs for the first 6 months of this games lifespan because you like to play with toy guns is that correct?
