slow content drip killing my motivation

i have given AH the benefit of the doubt from the outset, they have a great framework for a game solid gameplay loop there is something missing but now what seems like the best strategy to get that content is just skip playing the game.

Things have been a work in progress for a long time i have been an advocate for playing the game to find the new content in the wild. like how they released shriekers nests into the ecosystem without warning ( we need more of that AH).

but frankly not enough has come out to keep me engaged now that the dss is complete( is fought for that for months) this game has been a rollercoaster in and out of game so i am taking a break from Helldivers for my mental and since im tired of waiting for some good ♥♥♥♥ to drop, you got this guys best of luck. ill probably come back after a bit, maybe.

the DSS is fine, it offers a lot of gameplay value right out of the gate and can/should be built upon. ngl though ♥♥♥♥ feels underwhelming

huh? no...no it doesn't it offers a resource sink, and an occasional bombardment we can do with a call down ...

it's okay to admit to AH they failed, and did not deliver on a very long drawn out way to long dev process for something that really should have taken a month at most.
it's a reskined orbital bombardment.

How much manpower did creating the DSS actually take? I'm not talking lore wise, but peoples butts on a computer designing it. All its been has been a few basic models for the completion and then some art images. Now I'm not a game dev, but it doesnt seem right that all that took months of work to get what we got.

Design and development takes time. And not everything that is leaked actually gets released. Im willing to bet vehicles are problematic to add.

I mean sure they could just release half-baked bugged content, but then Hellwhiners would throw another tantrum. Im sure you'd be one of the first.

You eventually burn out on even the greatest of games, there's nothing wrong with letting go of it for some time.

i mean the design likely didnt take long , the coding with the engine likely took a while ...

and buggy... i mean the stuff they implement usually doesnt work or half which is sad because i love the game.
