best assault rifle?

Gotta say I think the base Liberator or the BR-14 are the best. The BR-14 sorely lacks in crowd control which is what you want your primary for, but can make up for it by dismantling hive guards or devastators with accurate shots. Liberator is much more forgiving but doesn't have good punch against any of the heavier enemies, has great capacity and a single burst to most enemies ends them. Stalkers are handled handily by the BR-14 aswell, Liberator however takes a mag or more to down them, and can't get staggered like a shotgun would.

Only complaint with the BR-14 is the ammo, feels like I gotta dump a mag into a horde and pull out my sidearm just to get through a single engagement, then I only have two mags left, whereas a Liberator lasts way longer and feels like it does more with around the same mag count.

The Explosive Liberator fires too slow to be useful and has pitiful damage, the Battle Rifle also doesn't seem to do anything but tickle most base enemies unless im ADSing which is fine, but its spare magazine count is pretty good. I feel like if I have to constantly ADS my AR I should've just brought a Counter Diligence. Liberator AP also has a good spare mag pool but doesn't feel like it brings anything to the table that the BR-14 doesn't already do better seemingly, and I don't like how inaccurate it seems to be when on automatic fire.

Whaddyall think? I think in a contest the Liberator beats the BR-14 and all other AR's handily.

I loved using the adjudicator before moving on to what i use now. Still tempted to go back to it.

If you try using the concussive like the sort of sniper style ones, it does work. Its low fire rate, can help you out learn bad habits. Its also longer range so you can be away from your friend but still shoot stuff off of em.

I prefer the Adjudicator, but i am not an assault rifle person.

Defender SMG. (I'm not joking it has better stats then all the assault rifles)

Currently I'm trying the Liberator Penetrator because it's one of the only good options I have. It's ok, but you end up blowing a whole mag on 1-2 enemies sometimes. The Defender SMG is also quite good though. The Sickle is probably the best "AR" in the game, still waiting to unlock. The energy weapons are some of my favorites due to not needing ammo and generally being very versatile. This game seems to suffer from the old BL2 syndrome of "we're going to make ARs generally worse than anything else".

I rather to use adjudicator and liberator penetrator. other hand, I want to use tenderizer for its less recoil. the issue is it feels like nerfed liberator
