Armor ratings question
Is there ever a reason not to take light armor? I guess you could go heavy on defense missions? Thanks!

heavy armor is a lot more tanky after recent patches, especially against bots. Heavy armor with explosion resistant can survive a random cannon shot or land mine or a railgun explode in your hand easily.

From my experience now the medium-heavy are worth IF you play more agressive.

From 150+ armor you get headshot resistence from what i remember in recent patches, so i would say medium armor with reinforcement to 150 will be the best of both words, more stamina, more dmg resist and headshot resist.

But, and thats a BIG BUT, if you like to be stealthy and avoid patrols and fights, light armor or medium armor with stealth buff are both a beast to take

I'm level 137 and I wear heavy armor on every mission, if/when vehicles ever get implemented heavy armor instantly becomes meta. And being used to wearing it will make for a smooth transition.

Bugs - light armor
Bots - Heavy

Simple

Was thinking light with engineering for bugs and medium with fortified for bots. Thoughts?

I use light against Bots and Medium with Fortified against Bugs.
The Mobility is what I need for Bots. While Bugs are better off with more armor.

Fortified for bugs? I don't recall explosions when fighting bugs?

To be pedantic, it's any armor above 100. That includes Enforcer with 129, for instance.

Bile spewers firing mortars. There might be other AOE effects it works on, haven't checked.

Huh, interesting.... Sounds like that medium-hevay armor of 129 with fortify that's in the store, right now, is a must buy?

Don't let alexus or what ever his name is see this, He will nerf heavy armor into the ground.

Why would having a veichle make heavy armour meta? In the state the veichle are at the moment you'll only be in one for a few minutes anyway

If u ask me best armor is the starter armor. If you have over 100 armor you get reduced headshot damage (might even be no headshot damage). Since i started using that i never get insta killed vs bots with explosions at full hp. Vs bugs i don't know since i play against them less.

I've recently ran the White Wolf medium armor with 150 armor and medium armor speed and stamina. Not sure if it's pure luck but I feel indestructible with it. Probably not needed for bugs but the extra defense has saved my life quite a few times. For bots I always use the heavy armor for 50% explosion resistance.

So... is there a specific premium armor I should buy?
