It makes sense to colonize the planets that are more or less easier for humans to exist like having similar gravity
But it's too many coincidences to be believable that all of them have exact same gravity level
It's probably done more for balance and gameplay reasons
Even bot need breatheable oxygen atmosphere (O.o) and die from poisonous gas.
To be fair, gas strike is so potent it kills Automatons as well, it probably erodes through any filter and metal
Gas Strike description says it's harmful to both organic and robotic lifeforms, it probably eats through whatever their components consist from as well
Mean kill everyone inside gas making fascility? :D 1 gas strike = 1 destroyed gas factory? :D And what about store such gas inside superdestroyer?
Give me HIGH gravity that makes me very difficult to ragdoll so I've got like magboots on and can stand in one place like the implaccable chad I want to be!
Also low gravity: launch your strategem and watch as it flies off the planet and into space because you're not used to it, and then Eagle-1 drops a 500kg on your battleship...no evac for you...there are no continues, my friend.
As far as gas strike, they can probably tailor them to be worse for bots or bugs depending on the mission. I imagine for the bots it's something corrosive and the bugs it's more of a nerve gas.
And there could easily be a handwaving explanation for why both affect the Helldivers. Starting with their protective equipment being cheap. :P
With how they calculate bullet rejection, shrapnel and other stuff no to mention larger corpses collision. Yeah it would be a real issue.
And with the hammy fun of MANAGED DEMOCRACY you could have a lot of fun with the descriptions.
