Why is there no low gravity?
like would it make sense to have lower or higher gravity on some maps?

Nope, every planet in the universe has the same gravity, cuz arrowhead

You never fought bots or took a charger charge head on, do you?

True, all planets you can ever visit in the game have same gravity as Mars

It makes sense to colonize the planets that are more or less easier for humans to exist like having similar gravity

But it's too many coincidences to be believable that all of them have exact same gravity level

It's probably done more for balance and gameplay reasons

And every planet have same atmosphere. Oxygen. Even moons with meteorites (witch have no any plasma trace - and this indicate there is no any atmosphere. BUT avery helldive have plazma trace for hellpods). Helldivers have helmets, but no any filters in it, (i think, liberty want to mutate each helldiver to terminid coz of spore infection) remebrer gas strike. Helldivers not have hermetic armor coz same reason - Liberty need more mutants. :D
Even bot need breatheable oxygen atmosphere (O.o) and die from poisonous gas.

To be fair, gas strike is so potent it kills Automatons as well, it probably erodes through any filter and metal

Gas Strike description says it's harmful to both organic and robotic lifeforms, it probably eats through whatever their components consist from as well

Mean kill everyone inside gas making fascility? :D 1 gas strike = 1 destroyed gas factory? :D And what about store such gas inside superdestroyer?

I mean realistally it's not impossible that each planet would be different gravitionally, however gameplay wise altering that can severely throw the balance of anything normally effected by the physics engine. It would be a buggy buggy nightmare lol

Low gravity? In this ragdoll economy? No thank you!

Give me HIGH gravity that makes me very difficult to ragdoll so I've got like magboots on and can stand in one place like the implaccable chad I want to be! :stronk:

Also low gravity: launch your strategem and watch as it flies off the planet and into space because you're not used to it, and then Eagle-1 drops a 500kg on your battleship...no evac for you...there are no continues, my friend.

More likely it's an engine/physics issue. Stuff gets weird when you mess with the gravity in different game engines.

As far as gas strike, they can probably tailor them to be worse for bots or bugs depending on the mission. I imagine for the bots it's something corrosive and the bugs it's more of a nerve gas.

And there could easily be a handwaving explanation for why both affect the Helldivers. Starting with their protective equipment being cheap. :P

With how they calculate bullet rejection, shrapnel and other stuff no to mention larger corpses collision. Yeah it would be a real issue.

As a side note I wish planets had an information panel just like from Mass Effect etc, showing weather conditions, giving some backstory, showing planet size, mass, day length, gravity based on Earth G force units, etc etc. Just nerd stuff that I enjoy reading. It always makes the game feel more real when there's a little blurb of information handy.

And with the hammy fun of MANAGED DEMOCRACY you could have a lot of fun with the descriptions.

We already get launched across the map from ragdolls. You want them launching us back to our destroyers instead?
