How safe are mods?

Just curious in case we get banned for it. How much in the clear are we for modding? As long as it's not game breaking of course. Small things like performance fix mods, no capes mod or first person HUD UI or whatever, you know? Nothing like being able to spam the quasar or something. Nothing that changes the core gameplay.

They are safe as long as you do not alter the experience of other players in the games (something that only you can see). That's what the Devs said 👍

Of course. I play solo majority of the time anyway. I'd take out the mods if I'm playing with anyone for their convenience

Basic cosmetic ones should be safe, but there's always the risk that one day the anti cheat software decides to become anal and ban any alterations to game files.

Hey man. Respect for asking the question. I would do extensive research on whether the specific mod you want to install conflicts with the game's anti-cheat program, GameGuard. It's a very sensitive program, in fact it's quite dangerous for your computer in general. It could label literally almost anything as a "threat" and cause a whole bunch of issues with your device that are hard to get fixed.

Also, when you say performance fixes, what kind do you mean? You mean like fixing glitches, or buffing and changing weapons? The latter will get you banned. :(
