Aim mode always first person by default?

I have it set to "remember per weapon", but for some reason every time i pick up a new weapon it will be set to first person by default.

It will remember switching it to third person for as long as i'm alive, but if i drop it/die and pick it back up again it will always be first person.

This hasn't been an issue in the past, anyone know how to fix this?

Just set it to Off and all weapon aims default to third person.

It seems to be an issue since last patch when they changed something with remember aim mode. Now every time you drop into a mission or get reinforced after death it defaults to aim down sight on every weapon but remembers whatever you set until your next death / reinforcement. It's pretty annoying and I hope it gets fixed soon.

Yeah i think i'll do that, it might be better for the time being, thanks.

RMB hold for third person and RMB click for first person works best, somewhere in the settings, Aimmode.

I haven't tried that personally but i notice i quickly click my RMB when aiming at enemies close by a lot, so it would probably trigger it by accident i'd think?

I had that bug since day 1. Some patch fixed it. It was happening to me when I joined other people and wasn't host. So for months I had to be the host for my friends and I or I'd just be fighting my controller the whole time.

I just assigned the switch to my thumb button and toggle based on weapon and situation.
Works easy enough

be careful though as there is a very rare bug in which you get stuck in FPV but the game thinks you not - you can still hear yourself open your scanner and even call in stuff but you cant heal or do swap guns.. or anything else that normally would be done in 3rd person
