Nerf Awesome New Weapon, Make Hard Enemy Harder
Normal day for AH.

Honestly, the update is whatever. The enemy is really challenging, especially since I normally solo, and cause you to use more strategy in teams...but sometimes it just makes my head hurt. Now not only do these jumpers slow you down, they are hard to see coming up, go faster, and basically one hit combo you if you're not really fast or have the right boosters. Jump slash tongue hit and acid splash. And on top of that, Stalkers still feel the same there's just more of them, so it's more relentless. I'm like jesus christ give me a break.

At least let me setup my build to mow them down with the new sickle before the nerf so I have more fun dying lol

Another whinediver. Game feels great at the moment. As soons the game offers a little challenge people start crying. My playgroup still finished all the missions last night, only difference is we died more and had to rethink are usual strategy.

Other weapons have demands? I find the drag of heavy weapons only marginally annoying.

It also gets a damage increase at 50% heat from 55 to 70 where the release version was capped at 55 no matter how hot it got and at stage four you get AP4 Heavy armor pen.

So it turns from a base Sickle into a full auto Senator with unlimited ammo.

Hell the self inflicted damage doesn't even increase from the release version.

So again, I ask you, WHAT NERF?

You were able to shoot for a long time taking no damage. Again. It's still a nerf

The only nerf was losing AP3 at 0 heat. The increased damage at 50% is because the weapons damage also goes up at 50%, which it didn't do before. Also the damage is nothing. It's the lowest damage you can possibly take in the game, so it's way more of a buff than a nerf unless you're OCD and can't stand taking damage even when it's 0.5% of your health.

Then the AP goes up again at 90% as well, which is just a straight buff. Overall, it got buffed, but harder to use.

You can boost a lot Eruptor (same goes for all pump action shotguns) effectiveness by using reload speed passives. You can use reduce recoil passive for HMG fire from it by bursts of 3-4 bullets. You can use fire resistance passive to work safier with all flame weapons. You can reduce risk of self exploding by using fortified (it's even saves from railgun explosion). You can increase accuracy a lot of all rifles by using less recoil passive. You can increase your throwing grenades and stratagems capabilities by using servos passive.

You can either compensate downsides or boost upsides by armor. So, if it's ok to compensating other weapons downsides, why it's not ok to compensate downsides of DESickle?

The DE Sickle's main gimmick wasn't working. So they fixed it. Before it did Med pen no matter what heat you had. That got fixed

Then it got 70% more damage at higher heat levels. That's a buff

Yet yall call it a Nerf

Back when the Arc Thrower got updated to get the ability to sunblock Hulk and bile titans would that be considered a buff?

No. People here said it wad "nerfed into the ground"

0-25% heat: AP3 55 damage - Deals 0 damage/second to players
0-25% heat: AP2 55 damage - Deals 0 damage/second to players

AP drop to Light. Otherwise no change

26-50% heat: AP3 55 damage - Deals 10 damage/second to players
26-50% heat: AP3 55 damage - Deals 10 damage/second to players

New version ramps up AP back to old levels. Penultimately no change.

51-90% heat: AP3 55 damage - Deals 10 damage/second to players
51-90% heat: AP3 70 damage - Deals 20 damage/second to players

Raw damage increase. Self damage increase to reflect this as this is the entire theme of the warbond.

+91% heat: AP3 55 damage - Deals 50 damage/second to players + fire status effect
+91% heat: AP4 70 damage - Deals 50 damage/second to players + fire status effect

AP increase. Damage increase remains constant. No change to anything else.

So again. The weapon starts as a base Sickle and then ramps back up to the point it's a Senator on automatic fire.

That's a buff. Not a nerf.
It was more useful in its original form, its a nerf
You still take piddly amounts of damage for that output.

Nobody is forcing you to play on the singular planet that has predators on it.
Tbh the original DES form wouldve made the sickle obsolete, higher pen and better damage if you let it overheat?
