It seems that Concussive (stun) weapons are a must-have VS the Predator strain Terminids
I usually took the Liberator (Concussive variant) or the Pummeler (SMG) to the Terminid front in order to be a team player, along with my Supply Pack - but on the Predator strains? It's practically a necessity, where the slow fire rate comes in handy.

The amount of deaths that I have seen happening is insane, so I switched to the good ol' "support build" and any time I noticed an ally being attacked I would drive them off.

Hold on, the predators are out? Oh baby...
yeah CC is a must here, not just raw firepower, they are extremely fast

CC as in stagger or actual stun? If stagger still works then nothing in the meta has really changed.

both, cc shorthanded for crowd control, anything intended to disrupt for lack of a better descriptor.
stun's fine, slow's fine, emp's fine, gas' fine, pick anything and everything you're gonna want something here that affects their ability to rush you down outside of killing them.

Trust me, concussive has been good for a while now, y'all were sleeping on it. It's amazing for illuminate so you can do mixups on overseers, too

Yeah, it is great to use it against them - it is a MUST have VS these new Terminids.

I like how this adds more build variety.

Ballistic shield + pummeler SMG and/or stun lance is now VERY good and fun to use.
All light pen weapons are way more effective on D10.

That's not my point. Stun and stagger are checked against different stats, so something can be resistant to stagger while still being susceptible to stun.

If they can be staggered then nothing in the meta has changed since stagger has been the meta against bugs for ages.

Yeah literally. They have enough speed, health and damage to just W and slice you in two hits otherwise in a lot of situations.

Pummeler needs like 1.5 mags to kill one stalker, far too low dps, already tested it

I don't think anything is "essential" for anything tbh. (That said, as a longtime pummeler enjoyer, it's good to see it getting time in the spotlight)

Yeah, I don't use them to kill them, I just use them to push them away/concuss them.
Then switch to a support weapon or have a team mate kill them (usually happens).
