Primary weapons
They're wayyyy too powerful, you can sometimes kill basic chaff with them, that completely ruins the game. And they're way too diverse, i feel like every weapon holds a different niche, and that's not fun at allll. It would be way better if every weapon was a downgrade or side grade to the basic AR you get at the beginning of the game. We need 7 different rifle variations that look different, say they have different stats, but then all have the same relative power level, thats what people want. And the weapons that god forbid people start to like, those need to be nerfed the most, because clearly they're overpowered if people are using them. A primary weapon should be useless, why would you want your main weapon to be effective? that's just silly, I much prefer to be limited to only my support weapon that i can call in every 15 minutes, that is only slightly more effective then my primary. Hopefully we can get these much needed nerfs once the wonderful developers get back from their third 4 month vacation, cause gosh darn they must need it with how much nothing they're adding to the game, truly must be exhausting being so good at game development, these guys are almost as good as Ubisoft!

Ne I agree with chat GPT actually, it sayeth the truth, game casualized and dumbed down by the ability to shoot guns. Make the true tryhards difficulty 69 so they can stealth and run away and "solve puzzle enemies" all they like

don't listen to them, it's good. these guys must be the ones who thought that new warbond is overperforming in their difficulty 6-8 runs, where it's an occasion for elite enemies to spawn and you dare to delete them with high-risk & high-reward & low ammo payed warbond stuff in PvE game

Remember, that's a fact that nerfing things isn't healthy for the game (there's still thermite grenade & grenade pistol combo, which performs almost exactly the same if not better, since you got more resources to play around in the end). Especially, when you're doing it with a hot-head, when trying to soothe crying reddit & discord kids

I agree that you shouldn't delete objectives with a pistol slot weapon tho

I agree with this wholeheartedly. The original message was meant to be a satire jab at arrowhead and their atrocious "balance" decisions. The recent change to the secondary is disappointing, but expected, I'm more talking about the fact that all ARs, smgs, and marksmen rifles all perform the same, it kills diversity of play-style when all the weapons are the same functionally. The dominator, Punisher plasma, and ARC-12 i find are the only true unique weapons that are fun to play consistently.

The ARs have alternate fire modes like a proper assault rifle should have allowing them to be used in a variety of situations from full auto CQB bursts to long range Semi-auto single shots.

The Marksmen rifles are restricted to semi-auto but excel at long range 'bad touch' precision fire with the punch behind each individual shot to OHKO anything they hit in the weakspot.

SMGs can be majority wielded one handed allow you to maintain damage output when armed with a shield or carrying a high value object for certain objectives.

Do I seriously need to break out the Revy 'Two-Hands' lecture on firearms?

Honestly I think they should make the Stalwart a primary weapon, LMG’s should definitely be a weapon class a helldiver can use instead of being forced to call it in. Emphasis on the light tho they should only be light armor penetrating and maybe medium in very special cases but should have down sides as to not undermine the standard machine gun, or even make that a primary too. Because right now machine gun strategems dont feel like theyre worth the slot when you can just take the Laser Canon and melt literally any enemy in the game.

It seems i should have worded it more clearly for some of you. The AR variants all perform the same to each other, some straight up have the same stats identically. The SMG variants are much worse, with four of them also being copy pastes, and one of them not even being an actual SMG. Marksmen rifles, there's three of them, two are identical in shots to kill on every enemy, and the other one has the handling of an Anti mat rifle with none of the benefits.

Lastly this was never a bait post, it was satire, and i put far too much faith in the scholars of steam to be able to decipher this great conundrum.
