The melee bonus...
It does nothing. The other part of the enhancement is noticeable though, makes the sluggish weapons feel a bit less so. But yeah without it it takes 1-2 hits to kill the weakest enemies of either faction and with it it takes... 1-2 hits. Yeah gonna go out on a limb and say it doesn't work. Just give us a melee weapon already, you were so close with the trowing knife to giving us a tactical knife why did you give us a throwing knife as a grenade, it isn't even good. At least they gave us 8, be nice if we could pick them up and reuse them but as they are they should really one-shot anything they pen I mean they are single-target grenades, surely it should have been a secondary weapon if they wanted them to be this pathetic.

It actually does work, it's just not sufficient enough to do anything meaningful.

Base melee damage: 50pts.
Bonus: +50%

50*1.5=75

A scavenger has 80hp.

Yes, so it does nothing. What's more lately scavengers have been starting their melee earlier and hitting despite not making contact thus punishing players wanting to melee. Yay. Before this enhancement, I always got the first hit on scavengers even if they were swarming me now they ghost hit. Fun. Now, this melee bonus would be perfectly fine if it applied to the throwing knife and if they had given us a melee weapon with like medium armor pen and 200 damage, then the pitiful essentially no bonus on your gun bashing could be overlooked but here we are. There had best be a melee weapon in the works coming out soon.

Meme armor, It feel like I'm wearing nothing at all. At least the helmet goes with literally every other armor.

Pretty sure you can more consistently melee your fellow helldivers to death now with the 50% damage boost to melee.

Was burning the horde with flamethrower when one scavenger sneaked past me to bite me in the butt.

My pal was in a mech beside me and decided to jump out to deal with it at the same time I turned around and melee'd. Needles to say I 1-shot my ally and the scavenger.

Yes, both the throwing knives and new armors are crap. The only good things in this warbond are the cosmetics. The booster might be good but I haven't tried it yet.

The booster is solid.

Getting jumped on by hunters? No problem, since the speed boost will get you out that tongue range so you can run and gun away.

It's seriously better than the "reduce stun booster" since the speed you have (atleast in light armour) makes you unhitteable by the hunter follow up attack.

When combined with the patch reducing the slow effect of acid and allowing sprint while slowed by acid the speed boost lets you sprint at normal speed while under the effect of acid. Pair it with medic armor for the super serum experience.
