2 Double Gunship Factories and a Gunship Patrol
Whoever is responsible for adding an annoying enemy type that adds more knockdown to an enemy faction that already has a ton of knockdown effects is truly sadistic.

I want to play Helldivers 2, not Pinball 2. If you can't think of anything other then a knockdown effect please play some other games to increase your Creativity Level just a bit.

10+ Gunships flying around like some big fat mosquitoes are not fun. Only so much I can do with a Lasercannon while getting bounced around by rockets. :mmj_sleepy_elf:

I've already encountered this month+ ago, the 2 double gunship factory and they were adjacent to each other too. This isn't something they added to the game with the latest patch.

At least the rate they spew out gunships is significantly less now.

Gunship patrol is fun.

The game doesn't give you enough cover from overhead attacks. A massive oversight when bots are all about cover.

Initial release the ranged attacks are all Horizontal with like a few bombarding attacks from Mortars or upgraded Bilespewers - that's it. Adding the gunships should've added more variance when it came to map generation and vertical cover.

Agreed, and plus we apparently don't carry and weigh a combined 200+ pounds and every firecracker in the world sends our 200+ pound helldiver flying miles away. It's funny the first 10 times, after that it's just frustrating and not fun to play, which is probably one of the many reasons why bots are not liked at all.

The rockets are to much on the gunships IMO.
Does not help they just appear out of nowhere eather.
ALSO does not help that things like the auto canon cant shoot them for reasons.

1. just move sideways
2. Gunships die in 2 shots from an AC and many other weapons have similar kill times
3. Gunships are borderline blind. Just don't stand in the red detector beams and they will not aggro
4. Gunship patrols are an operational Condition (that's what the broken Condition icon is). Just bring an anti-air gun when you see it or don't play it if you prefer having more CD on your stratagems instead
5. Just bring a Shield Relay if you can't managed the above

AC 2 shot them if you hit the same engine. More if you don't.

I've taken down dozens of gunships with the AC since the patch and have witnessed other players doing the same. Do your rounds actually make contact?

It is an operational modifier.

Also.

There is a large array of weapons that easily deal with gunships. Try using one of those.

You're coping harder than possible or haven't actually used them after the patch. MG-43 absolutely obliterates everything aside Gunships, Tanks and Hulks, but it can still deal with them reasonably fast.

Spear is a gun that you want one of in your group because the utility it provides is extremely good. Once it can lock onto Fabricators it will be even better.

it is trash now with the requirement of anti air. otherwise the 43 is a good choice on maps with zerker spam. then again you cant see any enemy intel from drop, so its a toss up.

no, theres 4 tops. i dont consider EATs reliable since a factory spawns them faster than the call in cooldown and the laser cannon exposes you too much. your option is quite literally AMR, AC, quasar, RR
