they didnt fix many gamebreaking bugs
commando stuff is mostly useless
they said they will release less warbonds in the future to make up for quality
lots of fur-porn-related social drama coming caused by the arrowhead community team

Some users are not happy with some updates. The warbond is bad and less content while they added two new armor sets in the superstore with the same viper commando colors. The promise of more quality content was broken over corporate greed.

Afaik most people are happy with the patch as it buffs a lot of stuff and fixes some issues.

As for the warbond many people think it's worthless because it doesn't have any worthwhile weapons and it has less weapons & armors than it normally does.
It's mostly cosmetic skins.

People were already angry before the patch. However, I don't think the overall player base is upset. There's a few posts of people with specific gripes, but the overall sentiment seems to be fairly optimistic.

spawns are now broken...again, buffs were lackluster

People are always angry at everything.

It's more of a bandaid to common weapons rather than something that scales with player level and investment.
Players who gain higher levels and thus play on more difficult missions aren't going to pick any of the buffed weapons because at the level their playing on the buffs simply don't do enough.
The weapons that you unlock at higher levels still are largely trash, making the starter stratagems better doesn't help much since they can only improve those so much until it makes players who play at a low level bored to shreds because the stratagems are too powerful for their level.
They seem to lack rationale to balance around core progression. Instead everything feels like it's a flat baseline aside from the clearly superior weapons.
So theres little variety still at higher difficulties.

The game is very clearly balanced around the medium difficulties which provides little engagement for long time players other than those who wish to be masochists playing with inferior weapons on high level missions. (not that i'm against that, since it can be fun from time to time)

They still haven't addressed the over reliance on AT weapons at higher difficulties and instead are focusing on lower difficulties with most of the changes.

I'm still going to pull incin breaker/dominator cuase even after testing all the weapons i still feel like those weapons are much more applicable to most situations.
When it comes to AT i'm still rolling eat/500kg i'm still going to roll supply back i'm still going to use autocanon against bots...
Light armor is still vastly superior to heavy/medium.. nothing has changed.

The teaser overhyped it, even though we were told not to expect much they still said there were about a hundred changes so it was hard not to get our hopes up.

The stuff they touched barely changed the balance of the game, and there's more bugs than when they started.

The patch also introduced gunships and behemoths into patrols, which further push the power balance away from the player, resulting in a more frustrating gameplay loop.

There's also no fixes for the various crashes that some players are disproportionately affected by.

the shotgun sidearm is ok-ish. I really want that pod mod for stims tho.

The bug fixes for things like the Pelican and other annoyances, alongside some of the weapon and stratagem changes were very welcome. But the warbond is undercooked and spawns are somehow even worse than they were before the change. And they also introduced some newer frustrating bugs like not being able to stand up after diving into prone.

Before I could at least get through a difficulty 9 bot mission with random teammates semi-reliably while clearing the whole map. But now it's just endless waves of devastators and dropships and gunships constantly swarming over you throughout the whole mission and it's not fun at all. If you do make it, it's by the skin of your teeth and you complete the bare minimum

The expectations people had for it were (at least in my opinion) too high.

I expected what we got. A few reverts, some number shifting here and there, and a new warbond to go with it. Now, I did expect less. Fewer number changes and smaller shifts in the numbers. What we did get was honestly really good for a balance patch. To that degree, I believe a lot of players don't understand what a balance patch even is. They hear about things like this and think that a slew of new content will pour out of Mother Liberty's bosom. These patches are for those of us who like numbers and seeing game health from the perspective of a developer and player alike.

The hilarious thing I've noticed is that the best possible thing happened. A bunch of weaker weapon and stratagems were buffed to fall better in line with the stronger stuff. But so many players are complaining that the stronger stuff didn't get even stronger or brought back to the strength they used to have. The Eruptor is especially funny to me considering why it had shrapnel removed in the first place. I want it back too, but it'll take a lot of time for the devs to make that work the way they intended while also keeping up with the other weapons and new content. This is healthy for a game to have and so many people are unable to understand that.

I find it very odd that you call it a balance patch, when Twinbeard himself said explicitly that it should not be considered a balance patch. Quote:

There'll be a little bit of everything there for sure. What I wanted was to try to avoid the next patch being perceived as "the mother of all patches" or a dedicated balance patch due to us taking more time for this than previous patches. I hope that's fairly clear - or as clear as something can be when you can't go into detail.

And the patch is a little bit of everything. What's odd about it?

People are mad because they didn't read last week pre-release note on the warbond and the intent of it - for those who want to role play the commando, not for another set of weapons that needs balancing as they are still working on the primaries already in game.

They are also mad because BRRR they don't even own the game and like to stir ♥♥♥♥ and see reactions. A form of psychopathic manipulative schadenfrued. So they aren't really mad.

Lastly, there's woke and racist extremists duking it out on discord servers and here etc. (I'm grouping all prejudiced extremists together, this includes anti lgb, anti men, anti women, anti children, anti old people, blatant racists, anti furries, anti incels etc together), and some how the game gets the blame when they break the rules and the moderators enforce the punishment.

So you're sensing the animosity, but it has little if nothing to do with the patch, but rather to do with entitled dumb ♥♥♥♥♥.

It's a small, but loud, minority that literally can not be pleased no matter what. They are people who should have no place on Diff 9, but play exclusive on Diff 9 because it makes their pp hard that they can claim to be "hardcore gamerz".
