Incineration Corps are ridiculously op
I get the bots are supposed to be hard, don't get me wrong. I like the bots and their difficulty. This new wave of enemies is just plain broken, however. Instantaneous death. I'm really focusing on the devastators with the incendiary shotgun weapons. They have the range of an aircraft carrier and one shot you even with the flame resistant armor sets. Having to dive and put out fire every 2s is just annoying.

Says the guy with less then 500hrs. When did you even buy this game? I am a veteran, and i certainly agree with the opinion about us getting excessive damage by that dragon-breath shotgun devastators. Wearing heavy armor with Inflammable trait got me killed even on full HP when i was like 50 Meters away. Something is definitely bugged

literally just equip the fire resistant armor and they're fine. It's good game design that different factions and unique faction challenges make you use different gear to keep things varied.

Yeah, it's a big help wearing fire armour, but those shotties will just one shot you in mid range, doesn't even have to be close, sometimes can be far too. Even with flame armour, I know, cuz I tested it.
Even the Heavy armor variant also didn't help, they still one shot you. Didn't help that they didnt make so much noise either , and suddenly they cheap one shotted you.

ive been able to take out the shotgun devastators from a safe range very consistently. Even when mid range. I actually like these devastators over the normal heavy devastator because the normal ones shred me in miliseconds from range with the laser machine guns
been using the double edged sickle to make use of the fire armor
I think they're interesting. Definitely harder than normal bots. But let's be honest bots is by FAR the easiest faction. By far. Yes even easier than Illuminate and they don't even have a heavy unit!

When first playing against them (didn't bring fire resist armor) I got oneshot a lot. But even with it, you can be oneshot. Which makes the game both stressful and interesting. I have a lot of fun playing against them.

For sure I'm not the best player. I'm average at best. But if I can complete super helldive by myself vs incineration corps they are totally fine.

It's not the difficulty in dispatching them that I have problem with, but the fact that they can have high chance to one shot you in any range is the one that I have problem with,it feels so cheap, aside from that I also took them out without problem whatsoever.
Regarding your problem with Normal devastator, aren't they nerfed already with their aim? They almost never hit me in any range, when I keep moving ofc. Diving and shooting at same time also helps too, and shoot back at them to mess with their aiming.

you need to change your aproach with the new enemy variants, the bugs had the predator strain and alot of ppl complained about it, just get out of the confort zone and try to sinergyse with your team

With the bots its the same, we have all the tools we need to bypass them, just get the "fire resistance armor" (75% less fire damage) or the "free" Killzone colab armor that has 50% less damage from fire, bolts, gas and whatnot

Use cover, use stratagems, dont ingnore turrets they are not as cool to use but get the job done

And please, stop rushing objectives like a moth to a light and think before engaging :broflex::rambro:

bots in general are miserable to fight right now, arrowhead ruined them for me...Incineration corps especially though, ugh.

The Shotguns deal regular Ballistic damage on hit, fire resistance only helps with the subsequent DoT. The only way to deal with getting insta-♥♥♥♥♥♥ is to stay out of their maximum firing range (45m, I think) so that they're not allowed to shoot you in the first place.

seems odd to me that the majority of the damage wasn't like 25% ballistic and 75% fire or maybe that is the case it's just the damage is THAT high

either way I'm of the opinion damage values for the shotgunners should be mostly fire so fire resistant armor becomes the solution to getting one tapped

Others are saying it's due to bug towards the damage calculation, but who knows, though I am willing to dig that, this is Arrowhead we are talking about afterall, they don't have cleanest track record for squashing bugs.
My only complaint is how the burning effect bypasses the personal shield.

idk bro I cackled like a witch the first time I came over a blind hill into a pack of several of the new devastators, so something's working right. Maybe they're mad at us for what we did to the bugs with similar tech.
Ah, new content making players say something is op. I thought this was just a fighting game thing. Glad to see this is to be expected even in a PVE game lol.
