Cant Patch - not enough Space

Howdy,

someone else get this problem? I cant patch cause Steam says I dont have enough Diskspace. Well, there is 33GB on the Disc HDII is installed and 20GB on C:, that may not be a lot, but how big is that patch? It stops downloading before I can even see the size of it.

Wow, thats not alot of space, time to upgrade good sir.
C drive = 500gb
Games drive = 2 tb
junk drive = 1 tb

One thing with any kind of update is that it needs additional space that's equal or higher than the update's size, because it won't replace the older files until you fully downloaded the update (in case you would cancel the update i.e, then the game would be gone from your computer). The patch's size was 178,8 GB for me so you need to free like 150/160GB.

Otherwise, uninstall and reinstall the game. Probably the best thing to do anyway as you're already (almost) reinstalling the whole game, space-wise.

Thx for the Answer, but thats no option. Downloading it again would take 2 days with my Internet, besides using up the SSD that way. And if it is really a patch of 178GB I would not have enough space even after deinstalling it, cause HDII takes around 80GB at the moment.

If you uninstall and re-download, it doesn't need to run through the patch process (i.e. you don't need the 180gb of space).

You only have two options:

1. Clear enough space for the patch to process
2. Uninstall and download
