Crossbow nerf when?
While plenty of people complain about nerfs and ask for buffs, I know of literally no one that said or thought the old crossbow needed a buff? So why did it get buffed into the strongest primary weapon in the game for no reason? The Eruptor is now just an art piece used by try-hards for flexing.

Every time I pick a gun that isn't the crossbow (because I'm f*cking tired of it), I know my team is going to have to do more work making up for both my decreased dps and reduced objective clearing potential (like sniping bug holes and mushrooms), and I'm going to be doing more running away. It's neither balanced nor a fun scenario. It shouldn't feel like a major loss to take literally any other primary weapon.

Crossbow is good only against spewers and completly useless in close range, which is a big issue when fighting bugs, especialy new stalkers. Using xbow forces you to use side-arm in close range and there is no good sidearm for close quarters against the bugs. Blitzer / Cooker + Grenade Pistol are better in any scenario than X-Bow + any sidearm.

JuSt PlAy HoW yOu LiKe mfs when using the crossbow stunlocks and TKs teammates (they cannot comprehend that it has a GINORMOUS aoe and punish others for it)

It's by far the most OP primary, it does too much without any drawbacks. If you are tryharding there is no reason not to pick this or the suicide sickle (with bugged fire armor). That being said i dont think it needs much nerfing, just to have either less AOE damage or less penetration. Pick one role only

Yeah right, lets forget about Puryfier having the same charged shots dmg and aoe as X-Bow - on the top of better projectile velocity and rapid tap fire mode that doesn't insta kill you in close quarters, but still has aoe? xD Bad X-Bow! Nerf! Nerf!
Calling for nerfs? How about, let's get some more gd warbonds and ♥♥♥♥ in the store.

Both are overtuned, purifier less so because charging forces you to move slowly and getting flinched will waste the shot, and it doesn't have the level destruction or ability to destroy enemy spawners like bow, AND it has horrible damage falloff after the plasma rework

Less. It's 300 explosive vs 350.

It's still extremely strong for what it does compared to the other weapons and I wouldn't mind a slight reduction in charged shot damage to increase a few breakpoints by 1. It's just that nobody bats an eye because the crossbow is right there to be slandered without fail.

The Purifier is in the same "borderline OP" ballpark as the Crossbow.

It's more versatile in combat but lack all the extra perks of the Crossbow: being one-handed, firing silently and busting enemy outposts.

The only change the Crossbow needs is a either a smaller AoE - closer to how it was before it got overbuffed - or tweaking its damage so the blast isn't quite as powerful, while direct hits remain just as devastating.
That last one would help make it something different than just a better Eruptor.

It also punishes the user for poor usage. It doesn't discriminate, hence, communicate with your team. If you dont know how and when to use it, dont use it. It's the same for flamethrower and arc weapons.
