Or Creek, I'd rake that over anything really.
Otherwise game stagnates and dies like HD 1 did
If you're relying on new content all the time - you're not gonna get far, there needs to be some form of confidence in your core mechanics; substance over style.
We just need harder stuff, higher difficulties. We only had one up so far, and it's been very long already. HD 1 had 15, and on the highest ones it was raining hulks or equivalents of chargers spawned in groups of at least a few at a time and kept coming
This is newer game and we had the update called "escalation" which for me felt nice, but it only escalated one side
I need hardpoints on huge bots, make them bossfights that are common enemies (like hulks and striders are, but way stronger), massive, multi-AT-hit bugs, ones that explode into smaller ones or massive queen-like ones that spawn enemies on the go, I need hardlight walls from illuminate, assasins, teleporters and control-reversal again
We need more. It's stale and somewhat easy, even on bots 10, which earlier was space vietnam 2
You don't need higher difficulties if we already have 10 but at least 5 of them are meaningless in terms of gameplay change - compress them instead of bloating further or push the current difficulty back to X and make everything above tougher.
The spawn rates are actually pretty similar to what they were (excluding hulks nowadays) - the main difference is that the enemies didn't die for a sneeze and that made them a threat.
Right now 10 Hulks are less threatening than 2 before they got powercrept by AT.
We had all of that, unironically.
There is already enough of the enemy roster to have significant engagement and gameplay differences between all enemies. You have everything from trash to mediums to low-tier, mid-tier and ultra-heavies.
But what do we get instead? Everything is oneshot by RR... cause why not pfft.
Ehh, my hopes are not up one bit. Crap's gonna be walking paper mache and will be dead before it can execute anything, as that's where the game is currently headed.
The "new" foes are gonna be the un-nerfed versions of the old enemies just like it happened with the predator strain and them essentially having old hunter AI.
You're not getting "content" - you've been robbed of things and then re-sold a refurbished version of what you have lost.
