Well good news, the update isn't worth it lol

honestly i thought i was the only one with this problem. i have to uninstall and reinstall every time theres an update because its faster lmao

same here. has been like this for me for awhile. literally the only game in my library that does it.

i just tested and i can download a 1 gig game in less than 5 minutes. this game? it is stuck at 1.2mb download speed and the patching is horrifically slow

if update big = steam select big space drive to patch.
big space drive =/= fast drive.
steam not smart.
do things as written to make steam use fast drive.
now you smart.

then it's probably tied to the order you added your drives as steam library folders.
the instruction may look confusing, but it really is very simple to follow. just give it a try.
i also had no idea what i was doing and nonetheless did it on first try in less than 3 minutes.

Some game takes time to update. Worst is Dead By Daylight.

that is bs. there is not even a staging folder in the file. i tried adding it and it instantly removes it

edit: if the game is installed on the drive that is marked as default inside steam already, no staging folder is listed in the file.
