break line of sight when hoard is chasing you and return to objective
it will be clear most times after doing this
the only enemy i can't reliably outmaneuver like this are the jetpack overseers, so have some way to kill those
Commando is still good, but not vs fleshmob.
Machine gun is still decent.
Orbital napalm for illuminate drops
Gatling sentry or machinegun sentry. But gatling is now better because of fleshmobs.
Due to how Squid armor works it's not that effective on most units
Autocannon is good, but has a lot of nuance to being used effectively on the squid front so that would probably take you time to climb up to the high skill ceiling. Mostly it's old AC mains that have adapted it.
I've been using a combination of jetpack, laser cannon, gas grenades/mines (for hordes and fleshmobs) and 500kg to be an all-rounder. Engage at any range, competent solo, can escape if things go south, supportive of duo/team. Lever action rifle or Halt for primary, either way to deal with Overseers (OSOKs or stun, respectively.)
Gas dog is good for dazing fleshmobs even with the bug it currently suffers from, but it can't get you over walls like jetpack.
Using the light Killzone armor for gas/shock protection. Lacking that, I'd suggest a light gas or stealth armor.
Laser Dog, Laser Cannon, Orbital laser, and usually some kind of turret for stratagems.
Takes care of basically everything the Illuminate can throw at you.
Fighters are surprisingly weak to the laser cannon, and for harvesters you just aim for the joint between the leg and body and the leg will fall off, killing it.
