About the double edge sickle changes
Personally i'm fine with the 0 - 25% heat only dealing AP2. That was intended, after all.

However what is much more annoying to me is the increased damage taken from 10 damage per second to 20 damage per second when between 50% and 90% heat. This damage ignores armour values (50 armor, 100 armor, 200 armor etc)

While this is very manageable with the fire resistant perk, this change basically locks the gun to the suit. Our Helldivers have 125 health, so a non fire resistant suit would need to stim up at least every 6 seconds when trying to make use of the... +15 damage.

Personally i would either like to see the damage dealt to the player being reduced back to 10 HP/s or to make the gun even stronger in terms of damage when reaching that temperature.
We use our guns to, ultimately, avoid taking damage. So using a gun that wants pieces of your health for better performance needs to be more than a laser version of the adjudicator + supply backpack.

Personally if they lower the 50-90% self inflicted damage from 20 to 10 would be perfect and would become a sidegrade of the old Double Edge, shifting early power to later power.
What we have now is "lose power from 0-25% then gain power as long as you pay extra HP from 51% onwards"

As it is right now imo is not as good as before because it forces the weapon even harder into niche builds and situations

They over balanced it and made it even more niche and reliant on the fire resist armor than before.

And without the fire resist and booster you're just toasting yourself waaay too fast.

Well time to put the DE back in the bin it seems.

It's a good change because it not a straight upgrade for Sickle 1 anymore.
Now it's conditional upgrade that you need to build around it.
im not fine whatsoever with it setting me on fire below 100% heat. idgaf about the 4pen and damage boost, to me the gun is dead because i cant stand the constant moronic screaming and bloody screen so real overlay despite 75% armor and the booster.
i went back to the adjudicator siege ready default ive been using for about 80h now, thanks for nothing sw*des.

Before was a sidegrade, you only had a "better" Sickle as long as you wasted the Health perk and your armour perk, you gained a better primary in exchange of that, wasnt for free and heck Sickle still has better base dps that Double Edge due to having 50rpm more and better acurracy but only light pen

I dont buy the "It was intended" because the promo video for it clearly shows it damaging a hive guard to the face right from a cold start. so no, thats BS imo.

And? The point is they nerfed things again because A. They want to make the game "harder" oder B. They forgott ,again, what fun means

What is next the portable hellbomb will get a reduced AOE or what
