If I don't want it set off, I simply wait until I need it, call it down, run to the objective, activate it, drop it, then run (or take myself and a ton of enemies out with me for the hell of it).
So I'm going to go with general lack of human intelligence mixed with a tiny splash of trolling is why people do it. A few did it and ran, so they knew. They also learned you can't run fast enough to get away since it's super, super obvious when someone pushes your button.
Why Arrowhead decided to do it can only be because they knew the above and intentionally wanted people to learn a lesson in the hardest way possible. Unlike accidental friendly fire, this is either ignorant or malicious. At best, as the OP notes, someone was trying to help but the bomb is apparently taking primary precedence over saving their life.
Amusing, since they are wearing a suicide vest while you're trying to heal them.
I thought this one would be just the same.
But nevermind that, this is extremely stupid and hilarious. AH are really taking the piss at this point lol.
The description printed on the portable hellbomb literally says "Not for use by people 12 years or younger" they knew squeakers would run up and push button as soon as they got a chance.
I troll exclusively at the end of missions, so long as we're not getting overrun and can call in reinforcements easily while holding the boat. Even the guy with the backpack found it funny.
However the activate backpack should have maybe 2 keypresses, as I ended up giving him supplies then deploying his aloha snackbar.
But if something is back mounted and can be used by other players, I want to be able to reload my own autocannon/karl gustav/javelin from other people's ammo backpacks and also swipe resupplies from resupply packs. Arrowhead should at least have some consistency.
comedy gold
Honestly, that's a fantastic point.
♥♥♥♥, now I REALLY want it.
