Who doesn't want that?
It's basically a flying impact grenade but has the downside that it is somewhat unreliable at what it targets and you cannot use it to destroy fabricators and bug holes which I think they should fix.
The seeker should really fly into enemy bug holes and fabricators vents making them easy targets and make this particular grenade a niche weapon against them. I'm even fine with it if they nerf the damage of it a bit further as a cost for that ability.
Right now the only thing it can really take out is a bot or a low level bug. Something like a single devastator requires two grenades.
It barely has any real use cases from what I've seen.
Conceptually I love the little seeker tho <3
Seen a few posts saying it's underpowered lol
Probably because it's a weapon that only rewards accuracy because while it does 4500 damage, 3500 points of that damage is only done on a direct hit. So unless you're hitting something with it you're not doing much
It's absolutely not underpowered but it does have a weird damage spread.
It has huge damage on the object it impacts on, 3500 damage with armor penetration 8 or something on whatever the projectile hits and then a 1000 damage with 12 meters radius at armor pen ~6
This means it has relatively small aoe damage radius if you look at how big the explosion appears visually. It's radius is closer to that of a 100kg bomb of the eagle air strike and doesn't at all look like the mini nuke that we see go off.
The visual appearance of the explosion is what really throws people off with it. It's such a big explosion but the actual AOE is a lot smaller than the visual.
I think it would be better if it had less direct impact damage, maybe only 2500 or even 1500 and convert the other 1000 or 2000 damage into more aoe damage so that everything in the blast radius gets vaporized.
Pretty much what the german used in WWII with the Sturmpistole (a Flaregun converted to shoot a oversized AT grenade). You either hit square on or nothing at all at close range.
