Armored Strider Missile Telegraphing
This is kind of an old update to post on but whateves, I feel like the telegraphing to the missile attacks on the diff 7+ scout strider are kinda dumb. There must have been people with complaints about it because it was listed as a big issue in the patch notes but ive never seen anyone actually say any thing about it. Obviously was added to get people to like bots more but I feel like it doesnt really work well.

The idea of it in general is kinda silly, not many other units have a obvious telegraph so Im not sure why it was added for this one. The low ROF and bad accuracy of the missiles already makes them not much of a threat... even if you didnt have the few second heads up, 9 times out of 10 its not even gonna come near you. Also, the only people who will encounter them are those who play high difficulty bots and want more of a challenge.

On top of all that, it just looks and feels silly. The strider just sits there and stares at you while while rocket jets shoot out behind it for like a five second charge up before launching a single dinky little rocket at you. It looks silly and is honestly a bit underwhelming.

I'm a fan of most of the recent buffs but I feel like this is unnecessary and doesnt really add much. There are already tons of long flame wars about the games difficulty and I want to stay away from that. Just curious if anyone knows more about this or has an opinion on it.

If you only look here on Steam, this is about 1/20th of the population. You'd need to see the complaints on the HD2 Discord and Reddit. However, there have been several post here complaining about them. I don't personally care either way.

Compared to when it fired it randomly without delay, the nerf is kinda huge and they should bridge the gap. The missile now almost never hits anything unless you are blindsided by it as well as the super low probability that it actually hits you directly. Any kind of stagger on it makes it miss completely or never fires at all.

Another example of AH over compensating.

I mean sure, people have been asking for the rocket walker to have some heads up since it's a one shot kill move, but 5 whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ seconds of stand still? bruh.

Persoanlly, I like the lit fire behind the rocket, it's served it purpose well.
Now just reduce the timer from 5 to 2-3 secs should be good enough.
