Whats the point of enemy units appearing out of nowhere?
It's understandable that the enemies call in units however its quite silly to even implement this as a feature if the devs just make enemies appear steps ahead of the player in large groups all over the map. They even appear in places you've already cleared.

This seems quite tacky just like the traitor feature just to prevent you from going out of bounds.

...what? It's meant to shake things up a bit/add more chaos to the game -- there are no logic/rationale behind this other than "lmao videogames".
And that is perfectly fine.
...I mean... unless someone else wants to create another thread asking the point of recoil to the game, with the rationale behind it being simply "It's silly and lazy."

Brother didn't see "Horde Shooter" in the game's genre before buying.

whats the point of YOU calling in reinforcement when a fellow diver dies? you need those reinforcements and so does the enemy. while its pretty undemocratic of them to do so instead of accepting a liberating death, its only fair they can reinforce aswell

absolutely. they should accept their liberation with honour.
I'm constantly shocked and frankly offended by how undemocratic our enemies are.
How dare the enemy call in reinforcements - Perhaps the most Unwarrior thing said in the Helldivers forum

To reinforce... :steamfacepalm:
Go play illuminate. They wont call reinforcement if you shoot the scanner drone.

While I agreed that the "patrol" (that is so heavily armed they might as well be called strike team) that spawn out of thin air around the 75m radius instead of actually coming from the map edge or "make" from the factory/hive are cheap as hell.

You might want to change your headline a bit, since that's all people gonna bother to read.
As you can see from most of the comments here.

Enemies randomly appearing in your vicinity, big invisible wall with a LEAVING BATTLEFIELD AREA.... 10.... 9.... 8.... among other things, are really annoying ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little game mechanics, cheap little ♥♥♥♥ game mechanics lmao, and they're ALL in helldivers.

It's just a ♥♥♥♥ soup we're all used to at this stage. I remember when Joel used to spawn mfing bugs literally in a circle around you.

Still does sometimes, but using the bug tunnel teleport ability, and with warrior / hive guard spawns. Now, they tend to spawn at the edge of the radar range.

You can really see it should one of your teammates go AFK to open the door or whatever. An Anti-AFK squad will spawn at the edge of the radar and start to bee-line toward him directly lmao.

Why would recoil be silly and lazy when its an effect that resembles the real world. Silly response

There's practicalities to a horde shooter, not when they just appear magically in the distance while also having a mechanic where they 'call' in reinforcements.
If enemies didn't 'call' in reinforcements then it would make sense that they just magically appear because you could justify it by saying they teleported, came from underground, came out from hiding from a building... etc etc

Because there's a difference from you calling in a reinforcement and the enemy just magically appearing with endless numbers.
We have a finite limit to our reinforcement budget, the enemy doesn't.

They aren't calling reinforcements when they magically appear. I already said that it's understandable that the enemy calls in reinforcements.

I have changed the header.

I recognize people don't like to read but just jump the gun with assumptions.
I dunno, man. People complain about fog lessening view distance, people complain about being able to see enemies spawn. Can't have it all. If all the enemies walked to you from the map edge they'd just never get there, and if all the enemies came from drop ships/breeches it would be non-stop.

I'm not sure how you'd rather have it done, but I think they've done a good enough job. At least I haven't had a patrol spawn literally on top of me for a long time :HappyMoonman:
