Server Region Problem

I have a problem.
The game constantly throws me into matches with people from asia, indicating im on the wrong server region.
It didnt do that 9 months ago when i last played, but now it happens constantly.
Out of the 6 games i got matched with today, all of them had people with asian or russian account names.

Thats a problem to me, because the game then causes unstable connections and sometimes ends up having me disconnect because its too laggy or my session migrates to me as a host.
I have at least 2 seconds delay to some actions like picking up stuff.

It is better when not doing autosearch but picking a squad, however, i only have a very small amount of choices there (often just one group per diff.).

Can i change my server region?
I wouldnt mind if that happened sometimes, but its like im somehow in the wrong region.

Bump, its still a major problem. Right now i have only chinese servers and players to play with and matchmaking throws me on chinese servers, which is totally laggy.
Some setting must be totally off, considering im in mid europe.

The game doesn't have regions or proper matchmaking, the lobbies you get are random without concern for ping or matched by area. So the answer is no unfortunately

They cant be random because i just have gone through 10 planets and all difficulty levels and every SOS beacon i could join to had only chinese players in the squad and when matchmaking im also only going to get matched with chinese players.
So something has to go wrong here.
