Major Order Inquiry: Yes or No?
This is an attempt to gauge how the community feels towards Major Orders as a concept,

Do you like them? do you find them fun? if so or if not, I'd like to hear why.

If you don't like the Major Order system, this isn't your game

well, to play Devil's Advocate, theres no real incentive provided for doing them, aside from Medals which can be earned in game while disregarding the Major Order, if you don't want to participate in an Order, you are never forced to.
I don't care about it, might as well not exist. For what, some medals? I am capped

MOs are optional, especially when they are bland and uninspired like Defend against 5 attacks.
Those that add something new to the game can be fun, but usually that is just for a while and then they are gone.
Or the special missions stay but then they kinda suck too, like that orbital railcanon one which is just go here and drop hellbomb on this cannon (basically a side objective as a main mission.)
yes i like major orders because you basically do nothing except play the game and get a prize for it. even if you only did the thing in question like, once.

As someone who almost never plays MOs, the game is fun. I fail to see your point.

I just play the fun planets, and treat MOs as a background story.

no
I'm more opposed to the 'personal' order myself, forces people to play something they don't want to run with or that is bad in general, sometimes conflicting with the MO and you get everyone with the same stratagems because they want to get it done.

Backround story is actually a great way to summarize the whole MO thing.
its a good concept, but its poorly implemented

objectives should be realistic, unless its one of those narrative orders that makes us lose no matter what, in those cases it should be clear that its one of those.

it should reward players that participate, maybe a medal multiplier, and then reward everyone after it has been completed.

That will not work cause there is a medal cap, so if you are maxed out there would still be no incetive to participate.

I play whatever I enjoy. If there's a major order I do check it out and may play a few missions there just to participate, but it's not something that motivates me to go all out on that front.

I feel the game doesn't do a good job of providing impact on what happens when we succeed or fail an order. We get medals, which is great, but other than that I feel the story implementation could be better.

But the game is fun to play regardless of the orders.

Personal orders are fine. Some are a bit more annoying than others, but it's not like you miss out if you don't do them so that's makes it ok. It does incentivise you to use weapons or things you generally don't use much, which can be nice because playing a variety of different things is always good. I know a lot of people like to stick to a singular loadout, but I'm not like that. I want to play different things so I can do different jobs during a mission, or just in general change the experience. Keeps things fresh.
Personally I like the concept, and it really makes the community feel like we're working together in a grand effort. However I wish they'd give different rewards. Like instead of medals, some major orders give about 100-200 Super Credits

Yes and no. More people focus on the same planet, but it could be a lot better implemented. Also the communication in the community when the game released used to be a lot more positive. Now people just go on a complain rant insulting people left and right when people don't do what they think is best. Instead of "guys, we need to focus on A, because XYZ!"
MO is a good way to engage community-wide effort to tackle a goal. Is it a good idea though? On paper, sure. Is it flawlessly executed? Well, we'd be winning every MO if we have every incentive to do it, obviously not fool proof and it does need to be better to engage even the most brain dead players to be encouraged to do them.

MOs only incentive is for the narrative, occasional Strategem rewards, and medals. They would need to be better than just giving out medals that we get for simply playing the game and by doing dailies. An advice player can grind those out in a day and complete the warbond that very day a new one comes out.
