It's helpful to know if someone doesn't have a microphone or isn't using one, so go to your audio options and swap the voice chat mode onto push to talk, muted or disabled and it will show a muted microphone icon next to your username.

The irony is, that those you want to reach out (probably cannot/) do not read the forums.

I ask people with an open mic to switch their settings to "push-to-talk" or just turn it off completely. Most people do, but the very few I just kick. Sure I could mute them but why mute them while the rest of my team has to hear their heavy breathing while mouthing a door knob.

I know in the first 3 months of the game's release I had this kid join with an open mic. You could hear with perfect clarity the kid's parents doing it in their bedroom yelling.. well.. yelling. You get the idea.
