22h2 is the latest and last version for win10.
23h2 is for win11.
Good question. Maybe someone else can chime in if they know how?
Ah my bad, brain fart moment. Personally I think I rather give up on this game than update to Win11.
I corrected initial post. Thank you
Yeah I hear you! PC gaming can be a pain. I was watching footage of the PS5 version on YouTube and it looks great. A lot of people having crashes in the game on PC of late, maybe nows the time to run it on sale on PS5 >_<
I'm not sure I uninstalled the game to make room for another one. Tbh, I'd stick with what works. Stick with 23H2 if at all possible if running Windows 11.
Current Windows build (24H2) still having regular CTD while running applications. If you are already on 24H2, it is possible to still roll back to 23H2 but have to find the proper link because Microshart, of course!, took down the link for it. . Archive dot org I hear has the build but i'm not sure which link is best.
Edit: I'll test it again and update this post. I'm on 24H2 Windows build 26100.3775 now. I'm wondering myself now, if this was at all fixed.
Was the same with Vista and 8. 11 is the new Vista.
Vista was a disaster. I tell you, the amount of crashes, system freezes, and generally wtf moments on Windows 11 is mind altering. I don't even think Microshart tests their updates before deployment. I'm just putting up with Windows 11 at the moment. I do like some of the new stuff it offers, like AI implementation. Maybe it'll learn how to fix this frickin' problem. Maybe the makers of GameGuard will get a better understanding in how to fix the conflict of 24H2. It's a wide-spread issue.
The real kicker is them taking down or otherwise extremely minimizing (can find 23H2 if looking hard enough) the ability for the end user to revert back to Windows 11, Build 23H2. Horrible.
Also, Kernel based anti-cheats are cancer. Absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary and only undermine let alone compromise end user systems. It's a frickin' video game, not a paid online game or paid service. SONY is not innocent in this instance and more or less show their inexperience. The game has sold a ton on PC and it's been out for awhile. It should be working without issue by now. No excuses.
It came pre-installed on my PC few years ago. I agree. :/
