Devs should reuses the Illuminate city maps for Automatons. It would be nice.

The illuminati need those towns for their zombie horde shooter..

The Automatons need to hibernate underground and rise up when their sensors detect an alien presence.. or am i getting them mixed up with Necrons?

That's the Necrons yes.
Some new mission type that allows us to attack automaton factories would be cool.

Where else are they making those puppies they drop in on me at levels 7 and above?

they should bring colony attacks with city maps to all factions
I feel automaton cities would be more 'crawl-spaces' and 'arc-welder arms'(like on some heavy outposts). Not Condos.

This. I personally enjoy the urban maps a lot.

i agree , why not reuse them for bug missions aswell ?
imagine , you walk down a street and out of a sudden a bile titan is walking past you , dont even notice you because it cannot see you

I think in terms of the story, the automatons and b ugs are nowhere near Super Earth colonies as large as towns and cities, whereas the Illuminate are attacking those places directly turning the masses of our citizen populations into voteless.

I would assume that when either bug or bot faction enters Super Earth territories then we'll start fighting them there.

Interesting to see bug's behaviour with the buildings. Fighting a couple of chargers down a street is going to be pretty cinematic. Taking on a bile titan and it crashes into a building as it falls...

Will the smaller bugs crawl and climb over the buildings and rubble? Like in E.D.F?

Man you just sparked my imagination. That's pretty cool to think about tbh.

the illuminate towns are pretty poorly designed, its like an asset flip colony that doesn't resemble a city, in fact we don't have any actual city maps. More like a settlement that you can sprint across in a minute.

A true city map would be like New mombasa from ODST

They said they will NOT do Tunnels.
(cos the StingrayAutodesk engine was not optimized for it).
There's talk of UE5 in 2025 tho'

Yup. Would be nice. Terminator vibes
City maps are awesome. I'm starting to get bored of the Illuminate. Don't get me wrong they are cool and zombies are cool and all...But I like having firefights, and the Automatons are the only ones that offer that. Firefights in cities would be pretty badass.

Imagine dropping into a city and you're fighting Automaton patrols, but there's a mortar encampment outside the city blasting the area you're in, turning the buildings into rubble. You turn a corner just to come face to face with a Hulk. Striders stomping through the place. Gunships tearing up the joint.

Ah man. That'd be cool to fight.

lets hope they dont go UE5 because of one reason : not everyone has a nasa super computer to play on and that update would actually cut the playerbase even further down

It would allow for bigger player groups.
Faster/(less buggy? cos common language) development?
But you're right - it's a massive risk/challenge/opportunity/"chinese-curse".
