Helldivers 2 seems to mess up my Friends Mic Settings on Discord
Hey there, anyone else had this Problem that when playing Helldivers 2 the Game lowers the Sensitivity of the Microphone?
My mate has it, that the Game lowers his Mic to the Point where im not able to hear him in Discord anymore.

We already gone through the Settings, he has everything the same as I do.

Anyone got an Idea what to do?

In Windows. Right click the speaker icon by your clock. Click Sounds. Go to recording tab. Right click your microphone and select Properties. In properties window, click Advanced tab, uncheck the box that says "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device''. Click Apply then OK.

So that you use your microfone exclusive for discord and have the game ignore it?

That is easy.

Use this
https://vb-audio.com/Cable/
Just the free version suffices. You get a virtual audio cable which you pick as the game's input device. Or any other device you want to always keep mute silent without ever being able to accidently catch your actual microphone.

That way your microphone will be entirely ignored by the game and the game will not complain either as it thinks it has a microphone, despite it has none.

And you get to use your hardware microphone for discord exclusively.
