A good anti-tank shot to the head or a well-placed 500kg bomb still kill them just fine.
Dunno if it is a gloom thing, a bug thing or working now as intended...
Personally, I think a bug.
1 headshot from recoiless/spear or 2 bodyshots from the same weapons
500kgs are inconsistent, so I avoid using them
I'm more annoyed about impalers sometimes randomly taking over 2 RR rockets or quasar blasts to the exposed face to die, for absolutely no reason
If you ever had this happen, were you the host or a client?
This might also explain why there's so many issues in the Gloom. Gloom seems to be far more CPU-intensive, meaning that somebody hosting on a ♥♥♥♥ PC could cause issues for clients connected to it.
I stated this not long ago that you cannot use the projectile to determine the lethal effect but the placement, and having it hit the Bile Titan is the worst way to do it, I dunno why but the blast radius doesn't seem to necessarily extend downwards. It does have a max damage within a 10 meters radius but loses its effectiveness beyond it and fully after 25 meters. Keep this in mind when the full damage of the explosion is 1500 and the Bile Titan has a total of 6000 as main health. Now also to put in consideration that every healthy Bile Titan (No damage/broken parts) has 50% explosion resistance, meaning every affected part within 25m (Or ideally 10m for a OHK), needs to hit that 6000 damage, exactly. As the damage you're doing to a Bile Titan through explosions alone adds up to that and every available body part at 50% explosion resistance is 750, there's a total of 8 parts (unbroken parts, innards or flesh don't equate in this or they would have died a LOT easier otherwise and thus this wouldn't be brought up) which equates to said 6000 damage to its main health. There's a lot of math that goes into it and that's what translates to it. There's still some missing info on how a projectile that can do 2000 impact damage to a part but it won't somehow take down a single Bile Titan in the head with its 1500 health but how often are you gonna make that shot anyways?
So, in any instance you feel inclined to use said 500kg bomb, have the bomb land under it, not above it because then it won't die for w/e reason as the AoE cone is likely very small downwards but upwards and expansively wide to said 25m. If you are placing it in a ditch, it may not kill it, anything that can be closer to the center of the Bile Titan under it, the better as every body part will be struck within that maximum damage 10 meter radius. This is also at times why bug holes are annoying to deal with because they're all in a ditch of a hole and the blast radius from said 500kg Bombs don't get all of them, especially in medium sized ones when you really think it should have.
When it comes to the Railcannon, you need to time it. Its death is either because it got nailed in the head, or in the "Butt" and because of where the Railcannon is coming from, it isn't straight down but at an angle from the Super Destroyer (Like how the Orbital 120m 380m, Napalm Barrages behave). It CANNOT hit the Torso Armor or it will survive it. This is also why 110m Rocket Pods Eagle Strikes are at times effective because of placement of where the projectiles hit because it was hitting those spots at the right angle.
Maybe you're just fighting a badass Titan and not a weakling?
