Stim animation speed
Could we adjust that animation so it is not so painfully slow? More than half my deaths happen midway through the stim animation. My reflexes are fine, but the game insists on such a frustratingly long lead time. I just don't enjoy it taking 3-5 business days to play out such a critical action. (And that's assuming it doesn't get interrupted)

It's not a great experience when your heal button doesn't properly heal due to animation + the fact that it's a heal over time + server latency. I do agree, they should speed it up a hair. It only needs to be a few frames faster, that would prevent a lot of frustration.

New players can find the timing of things difficult I suppose, but chin up I'm sure after a few dozen hours you'll have the hang of it.

After all, it's less than a two second animation that you can perform while doing most other actions. It's pretty easy to get the hang of, and in fact hundreds of thousands of players have managed it so I'm sure you'll get there too.

Congratulations. You actually made a creative "git gud" post. Frankly, I am surprised it took this long to receive one. And that it is actually coherent and well-written. I'm a bit of two minds on that, I reckon.

Dive + stim, works (almost) every time.

In reality, this will never change. It's a core factor of the difficulty of the game because of how strong stims are. You can survive almost anything as long as you're under the effects of a stim.

you can stim while falling or jetpacking too or after dive
>press heal
>heal noise
>no heal
>get ragdolled and flung across the map
>now you're under the map
>at least youre not a land snake

Half the time my Helldiver doesnt even bother to heal himself when I press the key, its like he wants to die (and yes, i had spare heals to go)

They have to make the sounds match the actions. Its the same with reloading. When I hear the final "tchak" the weapon MUST be reloaded. Right now there is weird delay between the final sound of actions and completing the action. Its an easy fix tbqh. The devs just need someone to watch them.
pft, my client doesnt even allow me to use/see any emotes in game any more for WEEKS.
I can see "E" to emote on other people, but I cant see any of the emotes play.

errr press "B" to open the emote wheel, you can have 4 emotes for WEEKS now
add emotes to your wheel in the same terminal you edit your character

They should fix all their sound triggers. Supply pack making sounds way before actually using packs is a joy as well, especially if the host lags.

But they didn't give a ♥♥♥♥ for 13 months, we'll just keep popping sodas forever.

Same here, theres times i've had to hit at least 5-7 times before they stim. Its one thing when you die right after stimming but it does suck when you are spamming that button going "please use the dam stim!"
I probably notice it more than most because i use the medic armor to stim constantly.

I noticed a few updates back as well,
that there's now a longer delay for being able to stim yourself when knocked down.
It is SO frustrating.
I've had a ton of deaths from getting knocked down - trying to stim and getting nothing - mashing the button and finally getting a delayed stim animation - only to get clobbered by baddies before I can even hear the healing hiss.

Something got borked up a few updates back and it's not getting fixed.
Every update seems to bring a new collection of jank each time and the code seems like it's delicately glued together.
