Suddenly it wasn't funny anymore, based on the malding in chat.
Everyone is up for fun and games, until they're it.
No idea why he did it but since he dropped 2 stratagems right in the middle, it clearly wasn't accidental.
Thankfully, kicking a player removes ongoing stratagems.
I don't mind post-landing stratagem ♥♥♥♥-ery
i bring orbital or eagle smoke
then drop it near extract to block their view of it before the extraction ship lands
I've been seeing this since at least November. I don't know where this comes from, but I see it mostly from- you guessed it- PSN players.
You used to see people just hurry to the loading gate the moment Pelican 1 drops down. Either they waited, or they didn't. Now they just run to the edge of extraction and shoot stuff forever.
I see people throwing 500kg bombs far less than I see people with extraction shyness now.
I play max diff missions with outstanding lvl 150 players who know every square inch of the game and cut through maps like butter. And yet when it comes time to extract they all hesitate to get in the Pelican. No doubt every one of them has been kicked and lost everything by some petty host who doesn't understand that telepathy isn't real.
These days a kick means you just become your own host and can get out, but you could literally be kicked while the Pelican was flying off an lose everything. I hate that this culture still affects the game.
I do it even if I'm not host, because sometimes people wont pay attention and will get in anyway.
I had a host start flinging thermites at me after I got into the pelican. He missed every one, but still.
I don't know what this new subculture is, but it's cancerous.
It's on the ground. Everyone is at extraction. Samples are in hand. It's time to go.
This does nothing besides put them in their own lobby with all the stats / rewards they were gonna get anyways.
Does... nothing.
Side note. If you wanna see ppl scramble to get in the pelican when it lands, set off your helbomb backpack and drop it on the ground outside the ramp, then get in.
Its what I do, and it hasn't failed once. Everyone gets right the F in, and quick. If they don't... well thats one less mentally deficient helldiver.
