I give up on The Galactic War, MOs, and everything
The latest Heeth gambit has proven, beyond any doubt, that the majority of HD2 players are casuals that dont actually give a damn about the lore, the narrative, the more complex aspects of the game, or anything besides hopping in to shoot things for a bit.
Thats not really... surprising or anything. The majority of people that play video games arent actually gamers. They just dont care.

But in HD2, where you NEED the majority of the players to be on single planet to liberate it, it is a damn big problem. The liberation rates are NOT driven by player numbers, but by the percentage of players on a specific planet.
Its extremely demoralizing getting invested in defending a certain planet, only to see 50 000 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ move away from it for whatever reason, and knowing the planet will fall and theres nothing I can do about it. Choosing to abandon a planet just because you dont like it (tall trees, blizards, fog) is also major cowardice, because someone will eventually haveto go back to that planet to save it, having to deal with unideal conditions anyway.

And the ONLY reason the argument "we dont actually influence The Galactic War, the game is shaped by Joels decisions" is valid, is because the players are extremely disorganized and cant amout to anything meaningful unless the shiny big MO tells us to do it. If we actually worked together, so many planets could have been liberated in-between major orders (Martale, Gar Haren, many others with little enemy resistance).

Bottom line, most are actively choosing to ignore a big part of the game (and probably complaining about the lack of content too :)))))) and Im tired of seeing the majority of my fellow helldivers acting like they lack the capacity to think.

So I give up, Im joining Chaos, let the galaxy burn or whatever. We dont deserve to have it anyway.

We are farming SC on desert planet brother
then how about a change ? farm them on foggy , snowy and tall tree-ish planets ?
are you super credit addicted or what ?
they should only reward them on extraction like samples

The war won't miss one man, regardless of his capabilities.

The last thing I can unlock/progress in this game is lvl 150, so I am farming squids dif 10 as they are the easiest and fastest. Dont care about anything else. Why would I focus on major order? for 50 medals, that are literaly useless to me? or story? that you need to go through 20 different youtube videos and discord post to get, if you didnt play nonstop since release? sorry bro but fck that.

Its also a new year. Many of us are busy working on ourselves trying to be productive and happy. As an adult I dont have much time to sit and game. When I do have free time I like playing games with long term goals. Cities Skylines 2 is my favorite because it requires dedication and long term planning. HD2 feels like a waste of time now that Im level 30 and Ive unlocked everything I want.

DSS proved to everyone that grinding for months on major orders isnt worth the trouble. There's other games that actually reward you for long term work.

Lets be frank, it should already have been won or lost at least once.
HD1s first galactic campaign was over after about 2 weeks or so.
And we lost gigantical against all factions.
HD1's galactic war is not only automated, but also usually lasts a month and repeats.
This is very different from HD2, which is a live-service game meant to be kept alive as long as possible, with a manually moderated galactic war.
You'd only win by now if it were the same system, not that Arrowhead is big brother and stopping any form of significant progress.
Won't argue against fear of removing content though, that's basically true.

If I have an hour to play, and I am not with any of my friends, I probably won’t go and try and do some big objective. I’ll run around getting samples of credits on a planet I like, blowing some easy enemies up, and having fun by myself.

If I am with friends, I am going to have a good time no matter what. So we crank the difficulty up to max and run around dropping 500k bombs as much as possible, and will do the global objectives. Because we really don’t care what we are playing, as long as it looks cool we are gonna have fun.

Consider most Helldivers are illiterate, so requiring Helldivers to read orders is more than likely the work of the undemocratic. Instead of making people read there should be a big screen forced pop-up with your Managed Democracy officer's talking head verbally relaying the order to you. That way there's zero confusion on where one can enjoy some Liber-tea after a hard won victory.
dose that even matter i feel like the liberation meter for planets are just made up and contribution you make really doesn't seem to matter

it doesnt because you contribute like 0.00000003 when you win at any difficulty.

God forbid people play the game to have fun, blow off steam and hang out with their friends. Fascinating how some people take pixels so serious.

AH will just go out to please the casuals anyways
niche crowds will always get screw'd out in any environment
would not suprise me the least if they actually remove stuff like ragdolls and make primaries a all killer which some already are
if they remove ragdoll i tell you right now they gonna kill they own game

You know, I'm sorry, but this rebuttal has grown really stale.
It has made all the rounds in the year since launch, and it is just a fig’s leave in winter at this point.
No one wants to impose a “way to play” to the community here. Those are, at most, gatekeepers slaves to the meta. And frick them btw.
We’re beyond imploring HALF of the community to just read dispatches. Taking Heeth, would have meant the end of the MO immediately, and rewards awarded to all. Faster.
Is it sooo stressful to have fun and allow ALL to win something on top of that, just by changing the fricking planet you dive on? Apparently, yes.
As the OP, I’m done asking the bugdivers to do anything.
It’s set in stone you can’t count on them. I'm just... ehh perplexed, in being forced to earn rewards with twice the effort.

I wonder how many into game remember the day that player coordinate to push the bot out of the map, then so cool GM push them back so hard that it return to previous state. Or when they decide to let SuperEarth burn when bot push almost at close by sector then magically retreat back so far to the same sector.

All while bug is like ... who care? We happy here and enjoy product oil, nip diver leg from time to time.

I'm glad that people still enjoy this GW. They can have fun their own way.

But to point and blame at this current state of stalemate, childish pretend to be warlord can stack up army without fighting like 10 year kid play RTS... well, good luck with that.

I still stand ground that all of this is 9000% AH fault to not choose which direction the game will follow. community driven / casual? realistic / meme?
i think like you to We did effort on the first months but GM just fk us over and over again so everyone get tired ... what ever we do they just change everything its like the DSS we did all they ask of it and at the end we cant use it anymore and the worse its the DSS in on autobot planet now that we didnt get it back to send it a SE atless no let the DSS stay there on ennemy territory make so much sense ... they dont think Like right now we have Iluminate invasion its be what 3 weeks now that they just kidnaping peoples and we do nothing about i and just lost the invasion ? but yeah out of no where the bug push big time ... when the iluminate are suppose to shine right now
