A New Tactical mission idea
Echo Base – The Last Stand:

Bonn, once a symbol of political power, is now a battlefield in flames. The last bastion of civilization, "Echo Base", is on the brink of collapse. Enemy bots have overrun the city, and a "tank battalion" blocks the escape route for the remaining civilians. The Helldivers must risk everything—hold the line, protect the shuttles, and destroy the enemy forces before time runs out.

But why Bonn?:
Bonn offers the perfect mix of urban warfare and strategic defense. Bridges serve as critical choke points, the Ministry of Defense is a natural fortress, and the historical landmarks create an intense, immersive atmosphere.
Fort Rheinfall, Sentinel’s Hold, or Echo Base —a location destined to become legendary.

Mission Proposal:
"Echo Base – The Last Stand"
Location:
Former city of Bonn, now known as "Echo Base"
Mission Type:
Defensive Evacuation / High-Stakes Combat

Briefing:
The enemy has launched a devastating assault on *Echo Base*. Thousands of civilians are trapped in the ruins, awaiting evacuation via the last remaining shuttles. A heavily armed "enemy tank battalion" has blockaded the main escape routes, and overwhelming **bot forces** are closing in. The Helldivers must hold the line, destroy the tank, and ensure the civilians make it to safety—before time runs out.

Possible Objectives:

"Escort Civilians to Evacuation Zones":
Lead non-combatants through burning streets under heavy enemy fire.

"Defend the Shuttles":
Protect landing zones from bot incursions; failure means civilian losses.

"Destroy the Enemy Tank":
Neutralize the blockade before it can eliminate the escape craft.

"Survive the Final Assault":
Once the tank is destroyed, the enemy unleashes its ultimate weapon: a "Sentinel-Class Super-Mech".

Gameplay Features:

Timed Evacuation:
A countdown forces fast and strategic decision-making—save civilians or fight the enemy?

Defensive Strongholds:
Players can reactivate **fortified turrets**, bunkers, and shield generators to hold enemy waves at bay.

Tactical Choice – Stealth or Assault:

Players can either sneak past bot patrols to reach the tank or unleash heavy firepower for a full-scale battle.
Last Stand Finale:

As the final shuttle lifts off, players must escape or sacrifice themselves to ensure mission success.

Potential Names for Bonn in the Game:

"Fort Rheinfall" – Symbolizing the chaotic battlefield near the Rhine.

"Sentinel’s Hold" – Representing the last unbreakable defensive line.

"Echo Base" – A war-torn command center leading the final resistance.

Mission Endings:

Victory:
The Helldivers destroy the enemy forces and escape as the civilians reach safety.

Heroic Sacrifice:
Some players stay behind, holding back the last enemy wave while the shuttles escape.

Failure:
The tank remains operational, the evac ships are lost, and Echo Base falls.

"The battle for Echo Base isn't just another mission—it's a fight for survival, a desperate stand against overwhelming odds. If the Helldivers fail, Bonn falls. Will you answer the call?"

What do you think? Would you play a mission like this? Let’s discuss and see if we can bring this idea to life!

I also forgot to add that this could be like an outpost outside of super earth near the automatons sectors

An enemy base capture/destruction:
Only one objective on the map.

A super gigantic nest for the critters

A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ super gigantic bastion for the toasts
Okay maybe only two mission i think thats okay for a defensive mission
This sounds heavily influenced by Empire Strikes Back.
You think so? But it wasn´t influenced by the empire strikes back

I think it sounds an awful lot like the Battle of Hoth, where the Rebel Alliance had to abandon/escape from Echo Base while the Empire's heavy walking tanks were bearing down on them. I've played a few missions in a few Rogue Squadron games (probably on N64) where I defended Echo Base to give time for transport shuttles to escape.
Ah now i see what you mean it is really similar to the film and to be honest the names for my post was from AI because I wasn´t able to find a suitable name that would maybe fit to the base.
But i also think that the defensive missions could be a bit updated because now the defensive missions are cramped on one Position and personally i think that is a bit boring
