Having 0 Fun.
Loved coming back after a big break to help defend super earth. I like to hop around with quick match and help out random divers who need it but after this obj was completed all the matches ive dropped into are enjoyable, quickly ended, and am dying instantly on spawn to friendly fire. Defending super earth was awesome and it seemed we all worked together. Now I find myself here typing this cause I tried to play 5 matches all ending with everyone quitting. Somethings wrong or maybe its just a really bad streak but I think its break time again.

Then just play a different game if you're not having fun with this. I'm not sure why this is confusing

Unfortunately, that's something you have to accept as a common occurence if you drop in the middle of an ongoing game with 4 semi to non coordinated players. If you have friends to play with, coordination is not an issue. With randoms the best option to avoid that issue is to be present at the start of the mission, and thus typically, to host your own missions.

I never go in emergency calls with the expectation that things will go well.

Occasionally the host simply made a mistake when calling the SOS beacon, and since it cant be deactivated once triggered, three things tend to happen : they try to kill me and succeed, then they boot me. They try to kill me and fail, and boot me. They try to kill me, then give up, and we complete the mission.

I rarely Dont get shot at when dropping in on randoms.
I agree, replayed the game since the last days of standing for super earth was fun, I played only that, people seemed cooperating and understood the assignment

since I went back to fight bugs and automaton, the IQ seemed to have dropped drastically

a poor reflexion of average users I guess

you won't have constructive feedbacks on these forums because all of the mare devoted fanboys that HATE criticism because they hate improvement
i dunno man, I've come back after a break and it's great fun. There are heaps of new players in my region, so I AM getting TKed a lot more through poorly placed turrets and strikes, but it IS part of the game... my mates and I where TKing the hell out of each other when we learned the ins and outs and it was hilarious.

Getting a '0 death' extract became too easy anyway

EDIT: that said, you should still execute ammo hoarders

Some days are just bad. No shame in taking a break though.

find something better to do with your life
The average player cannot handle the maximum difficulty. So its pretty common for them to fold part way into the challenge of the match. Typically I will stay if some of the originals remain. If they all leave then I will leave. Or I will toss out a sos and complete until the end.

It really is sad how many helldivers require hand holding in a match. Even on 10.
there are 2 problems, 1 too many noobs are in lv 10 or 9, who don't fking know what they are doing, and it is AH fault that they don't even force play to archive certain action (eg stim other player 5 time, ping 5 times, kill a hulk by shooting it's back 3 times..etc) before qualify to play upper level mission, I see player using LC shooting at FS body and turret to try to kill it, putting sentry beside your emplacement, throw barrage on the only path you can escape.....the possibility of stupid is endless.

2, AH constantly changing the spawn rate and enemy aggression and accuracy level, there already good amount of poorly designed units (bunker turret, rocket strider, barrage tank..etc) which they pretend to fix to make them slower or less accurate, and poor coding (enemy accuracy, especially in forest, fog..etc), not to mention the near player spawn and sentry accident bs.... and once they try to increase difficulty everything break and make the game as annoying to play as possible.

my only advice is to stop playing if you find the game suck and may be come back next day or 2, it is often the case the difficult (which actually is just bs instead of actual difficulty) will reduce.

As for players, there are no much you can do other than playing in a different time period where there are more older player.

What difficulty are you playing?
must be your bad luck, man! I regularly dive with randoms on Diff10, and more often than not I get a full team of badasses who work together like a team with no mic, just pinging objectives and enemies.
hope you stick around and find some decent teams! there are certainly out there.
