Am I the only one who have problems with the AT Emplacement stratagem?

It's a great tool, actually. But the part where I'm having problem with is that the fact that everytime when i've finally made my way to an automaton base, I've essentially wasted my time running to there as all the towers and bot fabricators has been sniped and destroyed by teammates shooting with his AT Emplacement on high ground freaking far away the moment i get there. And my stratagems are essentially useless and contribute nothing whole game. Pretty impressive actually, but feels unfair and cheated.

Everytime someone brings AT Emplacement and camp on high hills, I might as well sit next to them and watch them clear the entire map in mere minutes while doing nothing but guard duty.

How to mitigate this sort of situation?
