This fomo logic is dumb. I doubt that the vast majority of pre-orderers did it just for the ability to "feel special" and rather did it for the drip.

Drip that should now be available for everyone to purchase. Some people won't purchase it though, so the few stuck up honks that feel like they're special can still feel like they're special because not everyone will have it.

Imagine getting bent out of shape about non-physical drip scarcity.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with letting people who pre ordered have unique cosmetics. In a PvE game, I wouldn't even care if they were given a unique (and balanced) stratagem.

This is even more true if you pre order a game with no guarantee of what the final product will look like, or even exist. If you make an investment in something early, especially with risk, there is nothing wrong with receiving a harmless reward to show off.

I feel two ways about it.
1- Pre-ordering is dumb. It made sense in the 00's when I worked at a Gamestop and pre-orders affected how many physical copies of a game we received for launch, but I just never do it for digital crap.

2- But now I have every obtainable armor except for pre-order armor, and a little regret about missing out.

But I'll still never pay extra for the Super Citizen armor. Put it in the Super Store someday and you got me, but nah. MAYBE if Stratagem Hero actually recorded your score.

You're clinging too tightly to this idea of gating pixels. That’s the part I find stupid. And you don't even own it, yet made a post about it out of the blue?

What if someone didn’t even know the first game existed? how is that exclusivity supposed to mean anything? Maybe it makes you feel special because you spent extra money—fine. But from where I’m standing, that logic’s just dumb.

Back to my original point: if there's plans to re-release older event content for those who missed it, why the hell would bringing back a pre-order skin be some outrageous ask?

That's...not how false advertising works, as they delivered the pre-order 'bonus' to the recipients involved. Allowing people to buy it later is no different then 'bonus' DLCs with pre-ordering games that are charged to anyone who didn't pre-order.

Furthermore, even if it did somehow apply, you can't claim to have lost anything of value from the action, which is important for trying to start a lawsuit.
