Anybody know how to speed up the download speed for updates?

My game updates really slowly despite me having a monster PC build. In my democratic opinion those damn illuminates decided to slow down my PC because they feared the destruction i would bring upon their race since they killed the super earth president

guess i'm screwed then because of the fact that I have a wifi extender attached to my PC and it still updates slowly

That won’t help steam is a myth.
Sometimes I download with 100+ mbs sometimes it’s only 1-2

Step 1: Learn long words and jargon that nobody will understand
Step 2: Get a job with Valve/Steam as an employee in a datecenter
Step 3: Bring your PC to work
Step 4: Plug directly into steam server, get all updates directly
Step 5: Make sure you have This[hackertyper.net] webpage open in a tab on a browser you never use so you can quickly switch to it. Or key-macro to switch to that window. Bonus points if you get a USB panic button which does this and hide it under the desk.
Step 6: If ever questioned as to why you're sitting on your PC inside a gigantic server room say "A bad actor has broached the mainframe, I think it's a blackhat, I'm trying to backtrace him as we speak" and begin smacking keys as fast as possible while running the above link.

You can't. The game takes forever to patch because their patch system sucks. It's not the download that takes forever, it's the patching itself, because they overwrite the entire game (100GB) for 60MB updates. It's super annoying.

Yes, I have an NVMe, so anyone saying otherwise is straight-up lying about the update time just to be a troll. This is the ONLY game that does this.

If it overwrites the entire game just to patch a few files, SSDs are screaming in pain all around the world.
