The R-2 Amendment disgusts me.

I was incredibly excited for the release of this weapon and its' parent warbond 'Masters of Ceremony' marking the date on my calendar after hearing about a new rifle with a bayonet.
then i got to see it, the R-2 Amendment... my balloon deflated, my walnuts cracked by the great nutcracker of our time.

It has a side magazine.
It should be more in line with the M1 Garand or M1 Carbine - either utilizing a stripper clip fed through the top, or a shorter magazine on the bottom.
Medium Penetration is fine for the damage it deals, a larger round doesn't always mean more penetration.

M1 Garand was not loaded using stripper clips.......you know what WWII rifle did have a side magazine? The FG42.

I could care less about how the gun looks or mechanically functions.
But it should be, like almost all primary weapons, a med pen weapon.
Or they need to lower armor values across the board.

But AH hates their players so this will not happen.

oh sorry - my bad, i must have confused one form of clip with another form of clip you goober. the point was that a clip would have been cooler than a magazine.
FG42 was of far superior make to the R-2 Amendment, sure.

i distinctly disagree. ARs should mostly be light pen. MRs mostly medium pen.

Well, the M1 Garand was fed with an "en bloc clip". It's still a clip.

Ceremonial warbond my guy, so they went with a design based on a rifle that is regularly used in ceremonial purposes. In this case, the closest equivalent to the Amendment is the M14, which is used by the guards for the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the US.

The reason for the magazine being on the side? They wanted to make the rifle distinct in some manner most likely, so used the FG42 as inspiration due to it being used by the Fallschirmjager (paratroopers).

good inspiration, just didn’t come together right. as it is now, i actually think the constitution is better than the amendment (at least i’ve been performing far better with it comparatively)

For DPS, not quite. For singular medium armor targets, sure. Realistically though, the game balance is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥. Reprimand is an SMG with medium armor pen and more damage than any AR as well as a tighter grouping when upgraded.

It is a machine gun that has been downgraded to be used as a civilian/ceremonial rifle. A real world example of this is the M249.

I was just glad to have a sideloading gun that reminded me of the bastard gun from Metro 2033

Except the Amendment isn't actually trash like bastard gun. It's a good weapon on par with Diligence.
